(it keeps going, but this is enough for an approximation)
So the number of "dubs or better" that are not pure dubs is 1%+0.1%+0.01% of posts, or 1.11%. The actual pattern keeps going on forever, so its 1.111111% repeating.
Subtract that from the 10% of "dubs or better" and you get 8.88888% repeating, which is 1 in 11.25.
So the probability of getting pure dubs is actually 1 in 11.25, but saying "1 in 11" is misleading because it makes GETs sound rare by only counting pure dubs, and not trips, quads which are actually of higher value.
1 out of every 10 posts is a GET of some kind, and the probability of GETs is actually higher when you include non-"dubs or better" GETs, like Fore! and 12345678 and so on.

True, however every case of trips, quads etc also contains dubs, and indeed, when one is in a hurry, checking only the dubs portion of a trips or quads post is a preferable alternative to leaving the entire post unchecked.
