yea i almost mentioned that... u want ur water as salty as tears also, use the lower time on the package (and check the doneness a minute before that) stir occasionally so it doesn't stick, marry the pasta to the sauce by mixing in a few spoonfuls of the starchy water it cooked in into the sauce, and olive oil by itself is a great basic sauce for pasta. also u don't have to make a full meal out of it. pasta is great as a small first course to almost anything. those are all my pasta tips (i eat it a lot)

oh and u don't need a full rolling boil the whole cooking time. bring the water to a boil, add pasta and turn it down to a simmer.

I don't read the package I just dump all the pasta in the pasta jar and throw the package in the recycling. Then I cook it whenever I want it until the pasta feels done to me and I stir it regularly
