You could just dump your weed in the cake, which I do not recommend; it's very dry isn't good.

What you want to do is make weed butter and substitute it for the butter in the recipe. I use weed butter when I bake and I also make "weed milk" which is pretty similar.

THC is fat soluble, so you need the fat, in this case the butter or the milk fat in milk, to extract the THC in order to use it.

Basically, you melt butter in a pan over low heat and dump your ground up herb in that. Stir and leave it. I recommend a slow cooker.

best way to do weed butter is with a crock-pot if you have one
you melt however much butter you are going to use in your recipe, and then add your plant matter
let it slow cook on low heat, just enough to melt it while agitating the plant matter. The more agitation the more your weed will add to the butter in terms of THC
once you are done strain out the excess plant matter and you should have a light yellow green color to the butter once it re-solidifies
