Although I don't think it's fading on 4chan, rather their numbers are just being overshadowed by new users. It's actually a _good_ thing when your hobbies become less mainstream.
But it's always annoying to see faggots trying to sound like they know what they're talking about.
4chan always had a ton of anime and japanese themed images posted on it for whatever reason. We can speculate as to why but it doesn't matter.
The point is those images circulated because even non-weebs liked and saved them. Manga images had hilarious and weird dialogue sometimes, without even needing to be photoshopped. Anime images also had funny subs, or interesting looking characters/reactions.
I was one of those people. I never cared about anything Japanese or anime related when I first came to 4chan, and I still saved those images because why not? What reason did anyone have to be upset at them?
People fucking save and shitpost with MS Paint drawings of frogs.
