These ideas (the pics at link) were posted in one or two threads on /his/ in the first week or two. There were only (what seemed like a few) anons who were coming up with ideas and liking one or the other. I remember a couple of anons wanting some girl tan that was dressed in a Napoleonic (iirc) soldier uniform, but I couldn't find those pictures. The majority (or so it seemed) liked the old philosopher guy idea. Then someone said "put her with a little girl" because -cute anime girl-. I know they were coming up with reasons for why we'd have two tans.

Not saying they couldn't be posted on the shimmie, just that it's probably why no one has bothered to upload those or /aco/'s. Also you run the risk of later deciding on a tan and then having dozens of pictures tagged as your board that are actually unrelated.

I get what you mean but on large boards that means a few people deciding for hundreds, regardless of objections. On small boards it's even worse, if you only have a single or maybe two drawfags, that's essentially saying they get to personally choose your board's representation.
And then you also have the issue /his/ had at its creation, where drawfags from other boards were coming in and drawing stuff in the first few tan threads it had. And it'd be pretty unreasonable for someone from a different board to decide your board's tan.
I think drawfags should provide ideas and concept pieces, and the part of the board interested in tans and the like should collectively decide.

The red and black /pol/ tan was based off the news tan when the news users were being redirected to /pol/. /pol/ as Politically Incorrect never had a proper tan because their main placeholder was the news tan. I do find the green suit one to be amusing and befitting of current /pol/, but I will always know that the black suit tan will remain the old news tan (not sure of the current news board. I'm leaving it up to the users since I drew /new/ after it was axed).

If green suit wants to be /new/ it's always up to the artist's interpretations, but it's a fact that the black hair/red eyes design happened before green suit was created. If you want more information, it can be found on 4chanhouse's /char/ page for /new/ with the thread dating back to 2011. You can also view the shimmie with the uploads dating back to 2011 from the first /new/ comic (it was about /r9k/ and /new/'s deletion). Green suit didn't pop up until /pol/ was created in 2012/2013.

I updated the /tg/ entries about a year ago or a few months ago. I didn't change alot of the other entries set for the other board tans because it could've been an ongoing idea from the content creators, so I just worked on /pol/ and /int/'s. I'm assuming the new additions to /pol/'s entry was from someone who wanted to change the board tan, so I just let it be since I haven't visited /pol/ in a while (I only kept up with the news board).

I added the whole board-tan section and most of the pages about them to the /co/ wiki. That was about 8 or 9 months ago now.
The outdated /tg/ wiki articles had bothered me for a long time and I had noticed general stigma over them even being on 1d4chan for years, so I added them to the /co/ wiki with information that was more current (where available) than what was on the /tg/ pages.
Every so often I get lucky and find a board-tan thread on any of the boards that actually care about them and ask them if the information on the page for their board-tan is accurate.
/m/ wanted more of their OCs on their board-tan's page, but they couldn't agree on what information was relevant before the thread died.

I mean, it's kind of fitting that the board would instantly make 2 dozen images all with different fetishes, but there needs to be images of her being autistic rather than only degenerate. /trash/ is a little more than just porn, it's a refugee board for all the "garbage" discarded from the site, like Hunger Games, Steven Universe, Homestuck, Undertale, e-celebs, and so on.

There's only one other problem about /trish/ SFW art, it was agreed upon in the first threads that by design she would be isolated from the other boards, just like /trash/ is unlisted. Still, there could be a few relations, at least hateful ones. Maybe /d/ had tried to spray poison in her face after catching her stealing her horse dildos. On the other hand, maybe boards could find old memories or guilty pleasures in the garbage, like /mu/ finding リサフランク420 maybe.

its not hard to come up with something, board-tan personalities are defined by board culture, which is defined by whatever the majority agrees on, if a board is okay with something, the tan is going to be okay with the same thing, if the board has the tradition of shitting on something, the tan will do the same, if the board is like /co/ where you have multiple little groups, each enjoying and shitting on each other, the board will enjoy all those things but will still be capable of criticizing them depending of the context, if the board has any feature or "ability" like writefaging or something, the tan will also have that same ability, etc etc

I remember plus4chan having the board archived after a period of inactivity. Don't know if it's still there but it was where /n/ users went when moot axed the news board the first time (though I believe some also went to operatorchan). They returned on /new/.
plus4chan is a /co/-centered site. /co/ users go there for projects and other things typically not on 4chan's /co/. In a board tan sense, /co/ unintentionally helped the news board continue its lineage.
This part of history highlights a part of his character: he wasn't concerned about the type of board he helped out. Dunno about the board currently but I like to think he just helps people on a whim.

Actually the reason it happened was threefold: one, a recent overhaul of the mod and janitor staff left a mod who was rarely present during US peak hours in charge. Two, moot is an appeaser and fundamentally lazy, and the janitor didn't want what happened to /x/ because of moot's laxity to happen to /tg/. The cowgirl, J/aco/lyn is the one who gets mentioned the most across 4chan as a whole from my observations.
There's also a native American girl (/aco/rn), a brothel owner lady (Madame Pe/aco/k), a wizard, and a blob monster.
