The means for them to succeed are there; there's nothing stopping them from becoming qualified doctors, lawyers, or whatever the hell they desire; but instead of working hard toward the goals they want, of financial liberty and to live in a good area through well-qualified positions, they instead choose to rally around and make asinine platitudes about something that ended over a century and a half ago.
They're even in university. Right now. They're there. Why aren't you studying, ladies? Why aren't you working toward your futures?
The problem is that almost everyone on college campuses these days wants to be this legendary, left-wing crusader who fights "injustice" like those cool trailblazers in the '60s.
There are no real battles left to fight in the west. We have equality under the law and socially, too. Very free and liberal.
So they make up battles using historical precedene and flavour it with an ahistorical spice.
