kill yourself commie scum
>>
>>81448563
it should be 21 - 45

what use is the vote of someone who will be dead soon
>>
The voting age should not be limited to any age - it should be limited by a balancing of rights and responsibilities.

Exerting political authority over the state is the ultimate in force that a man may wield - yet it is not required to be earned by any semblance of responsibility. You can be as reckless as you wish with your vote, you can vote yourself the impossible and no one may stop you. That is a system doomed to failure.

If you wish to authority over the state you should have to wager your life - and lose it, if necessary - against it. A term of service, both arduous and dangerous, would yield an electorate of significantly higher performance than any in an "unlimited" democracy - which is a fictitious invention as we exclude vast quantities of people from the vote based on age, mental faculty or criminality.

Wait Moldova is a country?

Where are you, around Ethiopia or something?
>>
>>81448563
No
>>
>>81448563
30 is a bit high, try 25
also bar anyone on welfare from voting
>>
>>81448563
25 in the united states. its the age you can legally rent a car. hand eye coordination is still increasing for most up to about 25. this is determined by frequency of car accidents

by contrast they should lower the age to enlist to 16. to many thugs without a future on the streets. they could be useful as cannon fodder
>>
Voting should be given to people who

1) Pay taxes (to prevent welfarism)
2) Have children (because without children you can't vote in the interests of a better future)
>>
>>81448563
well with how things are now, yes. I think that before someone votes they need answer a quiz that shows they know the basics of the topic they are voting for whether it be president or mayor.
>>
>>81448563
No, it should be like this:
>must be 26+ for men
>must be 35+ for women
>must have a job
>must have worked for at least 2 years
this one might be harsh but
>must not suffer of drug or alcohol addiction
>must not have a very severe mental disability
>>
>>81448563

Only landed white males over the age of 30 should be able to vote. The income tax should also be illegal.
>>
>>81450326
good luck enforcing all of that shit
>>
>>81448563
oh yes

Voting is a futile effort
>>
>>81448563
Can't vote before 30.
Can't vote if on any type of welfare.
Can't vote if don't own land.
Can't vote if didn't serve in the army.

Of course, any democracy will devolve into a free-for-all since any politician have all the incentive of the world to do so, making democracy a doomed failure.

Wait until immortality/artificial superintelligence to make a political system.
Without an all-powerful benevolent autocrat, any system is doomed to fail.

An ASI could make any system work, though personally i'd prefer to give it all power and just make a website to give it suggestions which it'll determine their value or lack thereof.

He didn't really have a choice.
>>
no, but it should be restricted based on IQ. 120+ IQ required to vote.
>>
If you still play video games more than 1 hour a week, you are a lazy and ignorant manchild and do not deserve the right to vote.
>>
>>81449639
Really I could care less if they had children or not, but I would like them to, instead of just paying taxes, have them put in more than what they take out.
>>
>>81448563
No, the voting age should remain the same, but only people who pay income tax should be allowed to vote
>>
>>81448563
The age of adulthood should be 20 and co-ed schools were a mistake.
>>
>>81448563
35, same as being a PM/president and owning a business should be a requirement too. Fuck populism!
>>
>>81448563

Yes.
>>
>>81448563
25 is enough desu
>>
It should be lowered to 16.
>>
>>81448563
To vote you should need military experience, land ownership, and at least high school diploma. All 3.
>>
>>81448563
21 for men and 30 for women, just like the good old days.
>>
If I learned anything from Brexit its that no one over 30 should be alloud to vote. People under 18 should get double votes
>>
>>81451004
>>81451105
>>81452989
The army is overrated and maknig it the basis to vote on does not represent the best interest of the people. Everyone in it is already broken in and is an order-following machine. If all voters are gonig to come from that background, it'd quickly turn into authocracy. A business and property (land is ridiculous) ownership is a better requirement.

The age should remain at 21
Welfare status should disqualify

I'm 25 and a wageslave. Under my criteria, I couldn't vote for a long time either but I'm fine with it knowing how dumb the rest of my country is unless they meet those criteria.
>>
>>81451496
Horrible idea. Plenty of intelligent people who think they are enlightened enough to tell the masses what is their best interests.
With such a rule we'd have had no Brexit. Everything would degenerate in to a socialist shithole where people made policy based and nice sounding ideas and good feelings rather than what actually worked.
>>
>>81448563
Voting rues should be by Starship Trooper rules
>>
>>81448563
No. IQ test is better.
>>
his was the tragic fallacy which brought on the decadence and collapse of the democracies of the twentieth century; those noble experiments failed because the people had been led to believe that they could simply vote for whatever they wanted . . . and get it, without toil, without sweat, without tears.”
― Robert A. Heinlein, Starship Troopers

>>81448563
35, male white married with land then you can vote
>>
>>81448563
I think raising to 21 is alright, if not just removing the age limit and returning to the landowners only approach.
>>
>>81456836
yea lets let the government decide who gets to vote or not through some arbitrary test
>>
>>81448563
I would say land owners should be allowed to vote any age, any gender or race. Of course the igbsmedat apartment dwellers with 5 kids and a lexus are going to vote for more GIBS. It just encourages the left to cater to them because it seems they are the vast majority in this country.
>>
>>81448563

no voting right for unemployed People or students without a part time Job.
>>
>>81448563

Yes, absolutely.

Although I would add that the minimum age is largely irrelevant considering the turnout of under 30's. It's a purely academic question that rarely actually influences any election result.
>>
>>81448563
No. 35.
>>
>>81448934

Parents have always stopped their kids from making dumb decisions.

>Implying a 21 year old who thinks being a rock star and dying at 27 is the epitome of cool cares more about the future than a 70 year old with half a dozen grand children.

Why does this argument even exist?
>>
18 should be the age, but you should also have to have children, an income, and own land to be considered.
