The financial side of things isn't why I would cross. There was a good thread awhile back about what would happen if there was a civil war in the US from some guy who claimed to be involved with the planning for it. It's led to me believing less in the narrative that I will need a gun to protect myself from government tyranny, moreso that I need to be worried when the random dudes from the gun range decide to take over and claim territory.
Besides that fuck staying here in Detroit when shit hits the fan. I'll take my chances with the more subdued and boring Canadian life instead.
