America was already on the fence about fighting in Europe to help Britain
But if hitler had stopped and left France and Britain alone, and dropped the alliance with Japan they would have been better off, after all hitler was the one who declared war on us immediately after Japan did

he was never going to stop until he took moscow, that was the entire point in the first place, to strike at the soviet union while it was weak and before it inevitably because powerful enough to dominate europe. the only reason usa was on the fence is because they were simply waiting to see who would have the upper hand so they could support the underdog, they didnt give a shit about communism fascism germans or slavs they just wanted to be sure no one was able to control the entirety of europe and they accomplished their goal.
