Chances are people from different countries would still give each other a hard time.

Look up "Cranbrook BC" and "Wardner BC" which is where i live. Cranbrook is the kootenays biggest "city" and for being a smaller place has most everything you would need. Wardner is 20 minutes from there. If you need a big city Vancouver is a short cheap flight away.

Vancouver is a decent place to visit if you like the ocean.
Abbotsford and Langley are pretty much white still however but who knows for how long.
However if you dont have to live there for work (in which case you would rent) or are rich i wouldnt live there. i still would pick vancouver over calgary and toronto any day of the week if i absolutely had to live in a big city.

The size of the U.S means that each individual state/grouping of states in some cases have very distinct dialects just because of their sheer size they develop a quasi-social sphere just like in European Nation states.
