Obvious bait, will reply for any gullible lurkers.

Option 1: Tax the rich
>money is absorbed by government
>corruption, waste, inefficiency
>remainder given to nigs
>nobody wins

Option 2: Tax cuts for rich
>money is invested into the markets
>employers can hire more workers
>entrepreneurs can acquire more capital from investors and grow
>non-lazy people win

The rich don't let their money sit in bank vaults, because they actually understand inflation and interest rates.

The rich are already taxed out the ass here. When you tax the rich too much, you give them a reason to put their money somewhere else. Lowering taxes on the rich gives them a reason to have their wealth here and not in other countries that tax them more.
>>
>>80933831
Why would they have any incentive to run a successful business and provide jobs and value to so many people in the first place? Face it, their money is theirs - they earned it through providing more value than they demanded - and taxation is theft.

corporations get huge tax breaks and barely pay tax to begin with, rich people pay massive amounts of tax personally.

>>80934456
the government doesn't enforce taxation on the rich because the government realizes how economics works.

the top 10 richest people in America contribute more to the country than the bottom 50%. they know what they're doing, they're smart as fuck, and the government knows the moment it puts a boot down the rich are going to jump ship to another country and do what they've always done.

the only option that the government has to keep rich people on board and keep it's economy going is to simply barely tax them and allow them to use loopholes out the ass. this is what capitalism naturally goes towards, and this is a natural state of affairs.

if you don't like it, get smarter and start to compete with the rich. it's not a massive corrupted inside job, you could easily do it if you gathered some financial sense and weren't retarded.

If you don't understand how the military-industrial complex works, I suggest you dive into the rabbit hole. We basically waste almost all of our money on contracts with private corporations who have lobbied the state to do so. We spend money on lavishly expensive equipment that won't be used in any real combat scenarios. We need very little money spent by the public sector on defense. The world is at a nuclear stalemate.

So yeah anyway. OP is straight up lying. 25K and under won't pay any income tax. 25K-50K only pay 10%; which is basically capital gains tax. Essentially we get the benefit of what the rich have for all these years.

>>
>>80932264
My own economic interest is growth as that provides me with more opportunities to make more money. Taxing the hell out of job creators and our smartest investors works contrary to growth. Regulating industries via the EPA, DOI, FDA, FCC, FTC, and myriad other bureaucracies to the point they must leave the country to stay in business works contrary to growth. Taxing domestic production at upwards of 40% and imports at 0% works contrary to growth.

Democrats are voting against the economic interests of every American who is not superwealthy but wants economic opportunity.

In fact it's harder to get rich in Australia than it is in the US. At the moment the tax rate for people earning 80-180k is about 32%. That's money you never see. If you spend 38 hours a week working for that money you're essentially working for 12 hours straight for the government every week.

Government bailouts of investment banks made the bubbles happen, not private investment.

Banks make money by issuing loans w/ interest.

The banks lent to everyone because they were "too big to fail" meaning the government would bail them out if they goofed.

>What are penn effects

An increase in GDP per capita will be associated with an increase of prices, REGARDLESS OF HOW THIS INCREASE IS DISTRIBUTED.

The very presence of the super rich within a national economy is associated with higher prices for goods for everyone.

This effect was uncovered in the 60s and has demonstrated itself as one of the most stable relationships uncovered by empirical (as opposed to theoretical) economics.

Are you still fine when the increase in the price of a burger and coke, relative to inflation, happens so that someone else has enough money to buy a bigger boat, or pervert your political system?

In other words, are you an economic cuck?

If you look at NAPLAN scores nowadays for the type of kid I was (rural white male) you'll see that even the graduation rate is below 80%, and the education standard is complete shit when compared to the city living white male or the city living white female.

Inherited money is almost always inherited in trust funds and investments. If you don't teach your kids well all of your money will be gone within 3 generations.

The wealth gap is bad I do agree, but honestly it's a property of poor people not teaching their kids to handle wealth properly (the prevailing belief is that all rich people are cunts and it's better to be poor all your life and work for scraps) and the increasing world population.

The irony here is that politics is very much an economic question. There is a very apt economic comparison between socialism and a Ponzi scheme. Hence progressives ought to quit using this rhetoric, or else they'll be destined to be oblivious to the irony of their own naivete.

the problem is that redistribution makes everyone poorer because you're giving a gun to the democrats who then use it to rob the rich, the middle class, AND the poor to enrich themselves. I don't trust capitalists, but I don't trust politicians either, I trust them les.

that said, new zealand, switzerland (formerly belgium, rip in pieces) and singapore all have sane tax laws. too bad you're in the jungle baby
>>
>>80937538
doesn't really matter. balancing the budget is impossible at this point. if you paid 10% of the entire principal of the federal debt, every year, for 20 years, you STILL wouldn't pay it off. Even if you doubled or TRIPLED taxes it wouldn't be enough to pay 10% of the principal.

even if you cut taxes by HALF it wouldn't matter, the programs would march on because it's all financed. the top 1% pay 40% of all taxes. even if you reduced their taxes by 20% that's still only some 8% of the total tax base.

the situtaion we're in is truly, truly fucked. starving the beast doesn't work, but what trump can do is starve the careers of individual politicians, which is what I suspect his plan is structured to do. if he can starve the ampaign funders for democrats and nonprofits, MAYBE we can at least regain control

>>
>>80937947
No welfare. My dad worked and mum stayed at home most of the time.

Thanks man. I highly appreciate all of your answers as I don't understand a single shit about economy but I really want to learn. Anyways, could you recommend me some books or places to start learning economics? Besides from college, I have plans for that.

This country used to just have consumption tax and tariffs to run the government. I really want to go back to that maybe even minus the tariffs to keep government so small they can't do much and have to be wise and prudent on how they spend the money. If they tried bumping up the consumption tax beyond a reasonable amount then second hand buying (stuff like yard sales) and the black market would starve the beast and they might not be able to afford to crack down on it.

I don't know much about it, it's not what I went to school for but it does make sense when you operate on the goal of keeping government small. No wonder so many rich people stash their wealth in tax havens, our corporate tax has to be one of the highest in the world.

Sorry for the rant, appreciate the reply.

>inherited money disappears in the second generation
this is because black swan events have a tendency to destroy entire markets, or events such as ww2 cause wealth reposession, such as the gold confiscations in the US, business confiscations of japanese in california, legal destruction of ALL german industry according to us policy after the end of the war (therefore the destruction of all german billionaires) etc.

realistically we've only had consistent markets since, MAYBE the 50's. that's only 60 years, and only 3 generations max of data.

when they look at data concerning the names and regions of wealth in a country, they see that poor families were poor in the 1500s, middle classes were middle class in the 1500's and rich in the 1500's, on average had the exact same social status in the year 2016. this is in EVERY country.

a good way of tracking, for example, in england, names tend to be nordic or celtic in origin. the nordic names are almost ALWAYS the rich ones even today.

generational wealth disappearing is a myth, because they inherit the genes that caused their father's wealth.

te only money that disapears is cartel money or lottery.

a good example is japan, where they keep a registry of EVERY FAMILY IN THE COUNTRY since the 1400s with detailed information on the state examinations administered at the time. the noble houses in japan are literally a different caste, and higher iq than the peasant classes. there's almost a perfect succession of ability. almost all of the noble houses have birthed math, engineering, and baning geniuses. almost all of the peasantry never manages to produce anything DESPITE japan being the country with the lowest wealth stratification in the world.

adam smith is literally still the gold standard. there is no "more advanced" understanding in terms of general theory.

after smith it branches into three main schools.

one school believes humans are all equal, that if you give people free money, they will magically become smart, and they believe using math to track markets tells you about the market irrespective of human agency.

one school says that math is nice, but that human decision makers are the most important unit of analysis, and tha math can't predict inventions and revolutions such as computers.

the other is irrelevant because it's not politically favored and probably wrong anyway.

your choice where to go from there. if you're not an idiot you'll already know which one to choose.

>>80939628
leveraging gives nordic anglos higher iqs and gives japanese noble houses higher iqs? not genetix?

please explain, hokklo chan. I generally believe your kind to be smarter than this.

wealth is DESTROYED completely every 80 years or so by war events, confiscations, purgings. noble names with noble blood always rise back to the top in every single country.

tel me how money causes iq to rise. we already see that if simple access to wealth was all that was necessary, then affirmative action cases, sports stars, and lottery winners wouldn't all spend it down in less than 20 years. but they do. even upper middle class individuals tend to spend EVERYTHING they earn via salary before they die.

the noble lineages SAVE their money, evn when they work for low wages, and that automatically vaults them back to he top in every situation.

really, hokklo chan, you're smarter than this.

consider: in northern chinese, hokklo, and japanese history, as many as HALF of all the noble houses were POORER than tradesmen. why? war. ruin. political purging. they still had noble blood, though. how did their MONEY which they didn't have allow them to rise to the top?

it wasn't money. they had higher iqs.

we have 2k years of chinese history to prove this. the houses that married commoners ALWAYS disappeared frm history. the houses that preserved their blood, even if they became poor, remained.

the austrian school is what you'll want to look for after reading the fundamentals from smith and hayek. there are a few others you'll come across, but at that point it depends on whether you'd prefer to learn application or deeper theory, which gets into abstract math not at all tied to real things.

the keynsians school is the free money shit.

the austrian school are the ones who think that human decisions and institutions are more important than math (fwiw, the richest countries on the planet per capita, switzerland, singapore, etc are run by austrians.)
