He doesn't want me to get thrown in jail for trying to deal with the sleep issues he knows I have using more bullshit treatments, but stresses his signing of the paperwork is not an endorsement of marijuanas effectiveness.
I wouldn't say I had insomnia so much as delayed sleep phase syndrome though which causes me to end up going to sleep at like 3pm and wake up at 1am. It is almost certainly related to excessive computer use but I do IT for a living. It may also connect with stress issues and diet could be improved which is what I'm really focusing on now. I wasn't arguing that weed + driving was dangerous, I was saying that I knew cops that hated stoners. If you're a cop and you see a stoned driver after murdering a family of four starts going off about how weed isn't nearly as dangerous as alcohol I can see why some resentment builds up.
When you look at the statistics stoned driving seems safer than drunk driving by more than an order of magnitude which is REALLY surprising considering how intoxicating it can be. Drunk drivers just get into accidents WAY more than stoned drivers.
