Dumping Pokemon GO intel.

Laugh all you like but this is the real thing.

1. Keyhole, Inc CIA funded
2. John Hanke worked in 'foreign affairs' in DC and fucking Myanmar
3. Massive MSM 'stories' about holocaust museum, accidents et. al.
4. App now has more users than twitter and tinder.

Dumping some screenshots, just cursory research. this is fucking juicy.

You're mostly right except for:

>Literally millions of apps have to ask for those exact permissions.
>Uses your camera (ie. the augmented reality in GO)

Not true. E911 location, for example, cannot be turned off by the user. That means the government still has access to your location if they wanted to and you can't do anything about it.

Face cameras can be turned on without your permission. Android has the "Smart Stay" feature which uses face recognition to detect whether or not you're looking at your phone's screen. It is very likely that there's a backdoor exploit for this feature and you bet government agencies paid someone to find it.

This is coming from a programmer with a background in cyber security. The CIA can spy on you if you have your smartphone in your possession, you need to write your own OS and make your own hardware to free yourself from their watch. Pokemon GO isn't exactly stimulating anymore spying than what the CIA or NSA is already capable of.
>>
>>80857210
Are you aware of the pokemon games having multiple generations with a new one currently in the works?
The current Pokemon Go only has the first generation.
The app clearly has potential to stay alive for a very, very long time by having new generations added with gaps in-between and new features on the side.

>t. smartphone user who thinks he knows what he's talking about because he carries around a locked-down consumerist device
You can't tell exactly what the program is doing without performing a code audit, which isn't possible without trudging through the obscure mess that is the compiled binary because the source code isn't publicly available.

>Just because it asks to access those things, does not mean they have a magic, literally magic, way of transmitting them undetected.
Just because you don't see an application doing something doesn't mean it's incapable of doing so.

>>
>>80861573
it isnt about mining data. its about getting people to a specific location to photograph a specific place, on cue (rare pokemon). its very useful, they can have all kinds of access to private property this way, all without a warrant, all legally too because you click 'i accept' which, in the fine print, states that they are allowed to give camera access to law enforcement. if people would research rather than just spew their opinions theyd see how simple this all is. its literally out in the open but people are too thick-headed to believe it because they cant be arsed reading. its all there to read, just take the time. this isnt a conspiracy because none of it is hidden.

>>80857210
It's a smart Google Maps being built, which has more detailed pictures that can build panoramas out of crowdsourced images from the GO app.

CIA can now just boot up their overwatch software and type in an adress and see everything. As if they were themselves walking around there.

Google maps has a similar feature however it only has 1 source which is a shitty 360 camera that takes tons of images and then decompresses them to save space. And it's only from the road as the car can't explore closed spaces or interiors.

>>80856835
Damage is already done, also you must be really fucking retarded if it's some grand conspiracy. This is literally an intelligence operation they funded, or do you want CIA to go back to sending their agents into the field that will just walk around like idiots taking pics?
>>
I think it's mobile, willful surveillance

Like OP said, the government can now have surveillance at a position that they pick and people will go there. If an incident happens, they can record it, there are witnesses. It's basically like having undercover agents without them knowing they are complicit in a grander scheme.

Pretty spooky shit

I agree with most of what you said except for this. In-Q-Tel invested in this, which means they are either fans of pokemon or that they are interested in some of the data or tech that the app uses.
It's probably something minor, like what parts of a city are the most "active" which could be valuable information when devising anti-terror strategies for example. Or maybe they just want to know where everyone is all the time. (In that case they already have other means to do so)

DARPA has a long history of funding games and getting user data from them.
For example they studied the moves of people who played some warship game, can't remember it's name.

>what is packet sniffing
>what is watching your hard drive I/O

there are no packets being sent containing image/video data (which is obvious because of the size of the packets)

there is extremely low use of the hard drive, definitely not enough to store images

either
>the app only sends images/video when specifically requested by agencies
which we wouldn't know about yet

or
>the app doesn't aggregate image/video data

It's obviously for location-based datamining and perhaps crowd-forming and guiding

In what possible circumstances would hundreds of bumbling civvies pointing their phones at the sidewalk be useful for government surveillance?

>Uh oh, there's civil unrest at the DNC in Philly
>let's not monitor the situation through social media
>let's not fly drones over the area
>let's not use all of our government clearances, CCTV cameras, wiretaps, traditional GPS, satellites, any of that shit
>Nah, let's plop down a Gyarados
>now we have a zillion shakycam videos of the sidewalk, hahaha, way to go guys

In what locations would this actually even be useful? In foreign countries, maybe. Do you think the government needs "surveillance" on your shitty little hick town in the Midwest? Any important areas the government actually needs to surveil can be done through less retarded means.

Moreover, virtually every phone app that normies use tracks their data these days, and this is no different.

And is it any fucking surprise that the same guy who spearheaded a bunch of important GPS and map programs is associated with a game whose engine is built on GPS and map programs?

You're all going full HAPPENING over nothing.

If you would actually research and not just believe everything you read. The full override that pokemon go was causing was only a glitch and only happened on iOS devices. On top of that, in a rush to download the game early, a lot of people downloaded viruses that unlocked full phone control.
