And creationism denies the most logical conclusions one can take from the evidence. And god gave us free will and logic. Therefore we should follow the most logical choice, based on our (god given) senses.

And he is a benevolent God, so he would not lead us to false conclusions. For more on that one, just think back to Descartes. If mankind is capable of exterminating the earth with nukes and biological weapons, then God knows this. And God would take precautions. And I believe evolution is that process.
