What most people don't take into account is the difference in fast-twitch and slow-twitch muscle. Infrastructure: They've had the advantage in infrastructure for years. Especially in Korea. They were the first to embrace pro gaming as a legitimate sport, thus they were able to offer a more stable job to players. Wages, sponsorship, coaches, analysts, these are all things that Asian teams have had for years. In the western scene these things have only recently been picked up on.

Because of this, their understanding of the game is better, the overall standard of their pro scene's are higher.

Teamwork: Teamwork and syngergy is everything in the modern game. Because there's more to League than individual mechanics. It's widely believed that every region is pretty much on the same level mechanically. What separates them is teamwork.
Solo Queue: The difference in Korean Challenger tier and North American Challenger tier is supposedly massive. It prompted CLG to bootcamp in Korea for weeks in preparation for playoffs. Olympic Weightlifting is not that much about strength as it is about axplosiveness, conservation of momentum and PERFECT technique in two motions.
