I live in Montreal and often travel to Vermont to go hiking/camping in the Adirondacks.

Alaska is the almost the perfect state. We have a lot of white people, the coldest weather, the most guns and the loosest gun laws, we're a tight community, we have the most beautiful scenery in the world. Thousands upon thousands of miles of untouched wilderness. Filled with game, from Caribou and Moose to smaller shit you can trap. We even have privacy laws enshrined into our constitution (which we've had before we even became a state.)
The only problem I can see is that we're actually the least religious state in the U.S. There are still plenty of Churches and Christians if you're into that, I guess. I don't know why it matters.

I have lived in Vermont for 6 years now, moved here from California because of how bad things were getting there. It's a liberal state, but it's not that bad. 99% white, except for the small amount of refugees. One of the lowest obesity rates in America. Hunting. Nice nature stuff. Lots of snow for skiing and snowboarding. Also, there's a lot of rural area, so if you're rich, you can build a nice house out in the woods and not interact with anyone if you don't want to. Or you can live in the cities.
I also go to college at the university here, and burlington is literally the only place I've seen black people. Only see one black person a day, and it's usually the same guy.
Bad part is that if you have conservative views like I do, you have to find the few people that will listen. College towns are especially censored and cucked.

Most of the Southern end of the State is windswept highland that no one would want to live in and for the most part, there is no reason for anyone but isolated ranchers to live there (except for the places with coal and petroleum, obviously). This is the impression most people get of the State because aside from Yellowstone/Grand Teton, the I-80 corridor and the University of Wyoming are the only thing bringing out-staters in/through Wyoming. Much of the Northern end of the State is gorgeous, but there's not much industry in those places except tourism (and vacation homes for the ultra-wealthy). My advice to people is that unless you're just looking to be as far away from the rest of the world as possible, whatever you are looking for in Wyoming (natural beauty, outdoor lifestyle, running away from Mexicans and liberals), you'll probably have better luck in Montana or Colorado.

I lived in Whittier for a summer. Expensive as all fuck and I worked 16-20 hour days. Turned out to be a wash but I met some really cool folks and it was a good experience. Pollacks, Lithuanians, Romanians, Ukrainians, good people, lots of fun. Fuck the Russians, they are obnoxious pricks.

I spent a long time in Wisconsin working in industry. If you like a quiet life it's great. Milwaukee is a great somewhat smaller midsized city (as a New England man felt a lot like Providence). It's cool that you can go from cows-and-corn to a downtown city area in like 30 minutes. I also like snow a lot and they get a shit load of it. Politically it's not bad. Conservative Democrats don't really exist anymore at the federal level but at the state and local level it still actually makes for pretty decent governance.

Believe it or not, Iowa actually is a pretty good state. Low cost of living, lax gun control, even the native blacks are pretty damn white. If we could just stop importing nigs from chicago we'd be golden.

I think of all the states I've been to Oklahoma was the best. Low cost of living, extremely polite people (the polar opposite of shitbag New Yorkers), and everything is clean. People take care of their property and are hard working. (ignore the liberal sterotype that all of the south is a poverty stricken methlab/ trailerpark).
The downside is tornadoes. There is no natural disaster on this earth more horrifically terrifying than an American tornado, and Oklahoma is tornado capital of the world.
If I were you I would choose a big city you're interested in, live there for 1-3 years and go back to Idaho. You'll get to see things your friends and family back home won't and you'll come back experienced appreciating what you took for granted before.
