Stats are fascinating, but when it comes to policy they are a diversion and justification for terrible things. America has tried equalizing with redistribution and pro-black policies. Blacks don't have to get good grades in school to get into college. It is easy for them to get a good paying and secure government job. They are constantly patted on the back and told what poor victims they are by the very party that used to enslave them... and still does. Giving things for free does not work. Look at lotto winners. Most of them lose their winnings, wives, everything. Look at Indian tribes. They are given subsidies. They hardly have to work at all... and they don't. Would you? Blacks have more advantages overall in getting ahead than any other race in America. They squander these advantages, however. Until black culture is stamped out as toxic to black youths, black poverty will remain as it is.
It's not my job to bring them up to par, so to speak. Really, I'm not sure it's possible. The only way to equal everything would be to give to them from more successful groups, as is happening to a large degree, but even with these trillion dollar Herculean efforts, it's not working because they're different. Their skins, brains, and culture are different and not as well suited for today's modern world. If they suddenly become productive members of society that old great, but how much more treasure should be squandered on this fruitless endeavor? The problem you propose is not my problem.
Think of it in the following way:
If we examine 100 random black babies being born today and 100 random white babies being born today (or take another sample size in another time scale that you want to examine),
How many of them in each case are going to be born in a household below the poverty line? How many of them in each case will have two healthy, educated parents? How many will grow up around drugs? It's pretty obvious. So your urge to pick up themselves and do something doesn't require the same effort between blacks and whites. Why do you ask people to do things that you wouldn't do?

What all you foreigners don't understand is that anyone can get a job if they want to here. The pay might be low at first. But they're always looking to delegate and promote.
Even if you barely work, they still won't fire you. Half the population works over time to keep up and would gladly hire more people, and would suffer if they fired people because of their race.
We pay tons of money in taxes and would gladly pay 15% more if we thought it would change anything. The investment in our government is resulting in ever diminishing returns. The money that goes to people that actually need it only gives them incentive to stay on the dole.

I grew up with a single father of four who made less than $20k a year living in one bedroom apartment in New York. He could barely feed us and we all worn goodwill clothes. Christmas and birthdays didn't exist for us growing up.
I worked my ass off and now i'm typing this from my four bedroom house I fully own. I don't sell drugs and i've never been to prison.
Inequality of birth in the USA isn't some life sentence to poverty.
