I highly doubt it
We can breed neural nets to play games, recognize images and text, etc. But a consciousness suite is a whole other deal that will require a lot more work. I don't think we'll ever create something conscious directly. More like, when we get the computational power, we breed nets until one develops some sort of awareness/decision-making module. We'll never "know" if the thing is conscious or not. But there may good indicators that it is.
