The fbi-anon laid out a couple of possible scenarios for the way they would (or could) handle this scandal and it got me thinking that judge Moro could be following a very close approach: there's no one safe from the scandal, but he has the power to steer the limelight on whomever he chooses. It clears the house a bit, but also reinforce his own agenda (whatever that is, this is hypothetical and I haven't got a clue what his own political leanings would be).
But you are corrrect, there's a good parallel between the possible domestic consequences for these two scandals. But theirs also has a global scope (ours probably also does too, but where also would simply point out some high level corruption, theirs could lead to a hot war).
