I will be from now on. Up to the mid-90s, mainland Britain (Not NI) seemed quite a sleepy, safe, polite place and any trouble in the world seemed far away. The state also seemed to act fairly logicallly and didnt seem to be against its own people so most didnt feel the need for guns. That is rapidly changing I believe.
