The thing is, when informing a cop of a gun in the car they should ask you to step out of the car and then should ask you for your CCL, if you have it. There are certain procedures you have to do when you are pulled over and have a firearm on you. For your safety and the safety of the officer, you can't just say you're carrying a gun. Actually you would avoid using the g word because cops will most likely freak out after hearing it and go from 0 to 100. Same thing if you are in a supermarket and yell bomb. You should inform them that you are carrying before you reach into your pocket when they ask you to provide your driver's license. You should tell them politely that you are licensed to carry and the location of your firearm, and how to proceed to show your driver's license and information if it's in your pocket. Tell the officer you are compliant and following his orders. He will let you know the proper way to proceed.
I'm not being a bootlicker, this was a senseless tragedy and there is no way to justify it beyond all niggers should die. A more experienced officer with this type of situation would have reacted differently. I'm just saying that cops do not go around senselessly murdering people for reaching into their wallets. If you have a firearm you must follow protocol and see it from the officer's perspective.
