Trump was always a meme candidate who never really wanted to be president. He hasn't taken the role seriously enough and hasn't even properly prepared for it in style or infrastructure. He loves self-publicity (which is why he ran) and loves putting his foot in his mouth (which is why he'll lose). He's alienated too many groups now to be plausible. He's a twitter meme candidate who isn't experienced or smart enough for the job. Also, polls are reflecting this pretty clearly and this is before the Democrats go on a full personality attack on Trump.
