Summer. Massive increase in political shilling and rhetoric from both the left and right now that the real campaigns have started. People going to shill their candidates all over the internet nonstop. Its mostly the left doing this. Reddit/8cham/lefty/pol/ etc sending their people over here because they think they can have "intellectual" debates on fucking /pol/. Or they just get real assblasted about seeing us get plastered all over the internet because of our Trump meme magic. We used to be able to post dumb shit for threads and people would laugh and post counterexamples. Now every time a joke is posted people think it's part of some huge conspiracy. I think a lot of the threads that people would deem trolling, baiting, flaming or "shilling" is actually shitposting.
The dichotomy is important here because these people making the threads are using some inflammatory baiting post but they're not genuine, they're trying to be ironic. Like when someone posts some stupid comment a democrat made and says "Why are you not voting Hillary yet?". People will respond to that thread and say he's a shill when it's obvious he was just being ironic and laughing at the expense of the opponent.
