Alright one final point before I rest. A bunch of people have replied stating that my very ability to post on here without being banned voids my argument that /pol/ is a safe space.
I'd define a safe space as any environment in which a group of individuals decide to isolate themselves for the purposes of having a discussion without having to wholly refute other specific arguments.
You see this often with left-wing progressives. They decide that patriarchy, white privilege, etc as starting points, and move on from there. People who come into these discussions are expected to observe those starting points. In the case of POC and or queer people, they will sometimes literally isolate themselves from white and or straight people to ensure that there is no effective refutation of these ideas.
Now, let's set some things straight. While /pol/ will not literally ban your IP if you post something controversial to the wider ideals of /pol/, it still functions very much as a safe space.
On /pol/, it is presupposed that there is (to disputed degrees), a large left-wing threat that seeks to rapidly attack straight white cis men as villains in society. It is presupposed that the ideas of white privilege, institutional racism, cisgender-normative societies, etc are all simply emotional attacks carried out by minorities and women who are simply bitter, white man-hating idiots with no regard for logic or reason. Very rarely are these ideas to be thought of as real sociological foundations that have made up academic thought for the past decades, and when they are, well, academia as a whole is simply deemed wholly corrupted by emotional appeal, sometimes with a jewish conspiracy or other nonsense linked to it.
/pol/ is a place for people who claim "SJW's have a victim complex" to maintain their victim complexes. It is a safe space.
