Whenever enough Communists get together to cause any real social change, half the population, which has been fed propaganda, fights it. Communism requires cooperation, both in communities and on a global scale. How can we say socialism has been tried if the selfish are always resisting? We have to all want communism for it to work - and it will, because when we all work to fulfill each others needs, there is no excess/greed.

If communism was the final stepping stone in humanity, then a government that stepped aside and let people be free to organize or interact freely would be the best way to go about this, but that isn't what happens when people are left to their own devices. People don't cooperate in a quasi-egalitarian commune. No, people operate in a free market capitalist manner when government plays no role. If communism could work, it could even work with the legal protection of private property, it would simply mean that those who are most capable voluntarily lend out their property for the community function of production. But we don't see that because that's not how people operate. We are self-interested and that, in my opinion, is how we should be to be most successful anyways.

Communism has been tried too early in countries that weren't ready for it.
According to Marx communism would come about in the most wealthy and developed capitalist countries, not some backwards peasant shithole.
Now that we are going to reach levels of automatisation that will make employment impossible for the majority of people some degree of socialism will have to be implemented or the people will fuck shit up since they don't enjoy starving.
As more and more jobs disappear, socialist measures will have to increase.
I'm not saying the endgame is necessarily full communism but we will either start creeping more into the direction of it or shit will massively hit the fan.
Communism doesn't take into account a human's desire to be successful.
Communism assumes that people that strive for big success get there by oppressing others at their initial level, but in reality it could be that the person simply works harder or has good ideas or is more intelligent and capable. Communism's resolve for this is by eliminating those people by keeping them at the same level as everyone else or simply kill them should they refuse, that's why the wealthy and educated people are killed first and the generation after that are intelligent will work for the party and those that are wealthy will have their means of wealth seized and distributed and their businesses seized for the party's use.
Even if there was no local or global intervention, communist countries can still make the lives of the people a living hell by being corrupt, look at North Korea, Dear Leader is a fat turd while his people starve to death, and it's not like anybody is intervening their progress because NK is intentionally an isolated nation.
You would figure the people will revolt, yes? Nope. The party keeps the people weak and unarmed while the fed military parades through the cities and fields to ensure nobody will try to rise up or escape.
Anybody that thinks it's a good idea for a nation. Great idea for Gilligan's Island though, everyone from the first mate to the millionaire is now equal in that they have no class, and everything is shared to keep everyone alive, and it's part of this reason why communism wants and always will want a violent revolution, because they want the people so desperate that communism sounds like a good idea to be implemented.

Back in the 1970s a group of hippies lived in a compound that was the closest to true communism. All the workers in charge of farming left within a month. Guess what? After they watched the leaders sit on their ass and eat the food after they did all the work to grow it made them pissed.
A system that relies on a human with absolute control and power with no consequences ignores everything we know about human nature.
Fun fact: Marx wrote his book after a night out drinking when he was super drunk and in college. He was known for being a huge drinker and was in a drinking club.
