After the French and Indian War, Britain levied a series of taxes to help offset the debt they incurred during the war. They felt it was it was the colonists' obligation to pay off those debts, since it was their land they were defending. Due to the war, there was a shortage in the colonies of material to mint coins, and so the colonies began printing their own paper money, called colonial script. And guess who was bothered by that? That's right. Our old friends the Rothschilds, who, of course, owned the Bank of England and had heavy influence over Parliament.
Benjamin Franklin explains:

This was the first of many laws to follow that raised tensions between the colonists and the Rothschild controlled British Parliament, which spiraled into Revolution.
