Did you take your happy pill today goy? Why try and find the real cause of your problems (Including your depression) when we have designed this baby for you?

>B-but.. what about all the documented side effects that prove these drugs don't treat let alone cure anything but create more checmical disruptions in the brain

Oy vey! You don't wanna be labeled crazy do you? We know what is best for you Goyim. Your brain is in """""""""good""""""" hands.

Those drugs are capable of leaving permanent alteration to how your brain works.

There must be a redpill regarding those jewpills ffs. It's almost a never touched subject. But I agree it's good punishment for those who perform crimes and get sentenced for insanity.

>>79344053
I just grasped a generic image from jewgle, all this stuff is the same shit regarding what they do to you.

Most antidepressants are only marginally effective due to the lack of dopaminergic activity. For some reason theres an opposition to using direct stimulants in treatment despite their efficacy as can be seen with adderall and xanax.

As someone who was diagnosed with depression, prescribed anti-depressants, never took them and got over it myself, there are cases where medication IS needed.
Anti-depressants, like most medication these days, are extremely over prescribed but that doesn't mean they don't still have use.
>>
>>79345209
are you here to meme or what? I have observed actual cases where normal people turned into demented zombies from this stuff. Nobody reports improvements from such poison and those who do are simply ok in their numbed zombie state. Nobody becomes truly happy.

And yes, much stuff the doctors know you can study them online, you know there are medical libraries where research is posted right? You can find anything you want online, nobody said you will become a doctor but if something interests you, chances are you can learn it.

this is the first page when i googled antidepressants and the placebo effect.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4172306/

To be more accurate, more severe depression is the only type of depression where antidepressants have a statistically significant effect. In 89% of people diagnosed with depression, antidepressants do not result in outcomes that are statistically different than with the use of a placebo.

This is the kind of example that shows /pol/ for the retarded nutjobs it really is. I suppose aspirin is the Jew plot to rule the world too. And eating well is bullshit. Drinking water? For fags and mudslimes.

There is nothing wrong with medicating problems. The issue is overmedicating and getting on antidepressants because you had a bad day.

Mental illness (An abstract concept) is very different from medicating and treating actual proven physical problems. You have fallen for the doctors know best meme but that simply isn't the case. Not everything is black and white. Aspirin has a certain mechanism of action, psychotherapeutic drugs' mechanism of action often is speculative and non concluding and even if they know on the surface what they do, the brain is a complex organ that is not to be meddled with since several problems can arise which they CANNOT explain.
>>

There's a lot of true to that. You can pass years reading research papers and doing experimentations on yourself while a lazy (corrupted) *doctor* is used to prescribe the same stuff every day to his patients.
>>
>>79346494
>the brain is a complex organ that is not to be meddled with since several problems can arise which they CANNOT explain.

Guess I'll go tell the all the neurologist and neurosurgeons to stop all those life saving procedures cause brain too smart for us. Hope your grandpa doesn't get dementia or subdermal hematoma or parkisons cause you never know what that l dopa could cause, better just let that parkisons run its course.

Oh and all those people who have stabilized their mental condition with SSRIs, lithium and such I gotta tell them to stop too.

>>79346147

Google it. A lot of times they don't have enough drug inside, only filler. Then, they are contaminated with shards of poo.

>He thinks he can learn what a neurologist or psychiatrist learns from years of study and dedication by just reading a few papers in his spare time.

I bet you don't even know the real mechanism of how SSRIs work let alone any decent knowledge that a physician has. You could learn more than a GP in a certain subject perhaps but for sure not more than a specialist.
>>
>>79348078
He can google it.
Then that makes him smarter than neurologist.

If you believe it is so easy to find and decipher medical information then go for it. Tell me how do SSRI work in terms of what is considered the most plausible theory? Why do they take weeks to induce an effect and not as soon as the drug enters the system? Do they work for all levels of depressions and why do they/do they not? This is basic knowledge.

There is no such thing as mental illness. It's something that Marxist and leftist invented so they can demoralized the people and make them apathetic to destroy freedom so that people don't start questioning the new world order.
>>
>>79348291
You do understand that they can get paid to write you a prescription for a certain drug? There are a lot of safer alternatives to SSRIs. Even magnesium (check it on PubMed) can sometimes lift severe depression. If you're not completely fucked up, you have to find what works for you, from diet, to supplements, to physical exercise, etc...
>>
>>79343651
I recently stopped taking adderall (was on it for a couple years) and feel way better. The crashes and the need to take it to remain mentally functional became too much.

>Did you take your happy pill today goy?
Yes I did Doctor Shlomo. I took a 10 mg pill of Prozac in the morning, and I'll take another 10 mg pill at night.
>Why try and find the real cause of your problems (Including your depression) when we have designed this baby for you?
Thanks for the drugs Dr. Shlomo.

I tried so many other things before finally deciding to go back on Prozac again. Depression has physical symptoms like sleeping too much and being tired all day.

Because I'm taking Prozac, I at least have more energy to things like socialize, go to the gym, and play board games. I made the right decision to go back on drugs. Often times, "man up, be yourself, just be confident" isn't the right answer, and taking a drug is the right answer,

I was taking an SSRI (laxapro) and it was making me feel amazing and then I would have the lows. I was pretty close to killing myself a few times. I hated them, and I'm really glad I stopped taking them. My life has improved a lot and I stopped making excuses. I know there are people who need them, but they're extremely over prescribed.
>>
I'll take a xan in honor of this thread. Might as well bang a dilaudid too. Thanks for reminding me OP.

Last time I checked placebos did not reverse the atrophy of the hippocampus as seen in those with sever depression which is by far the biggest physiological indicator of clinical depresssion. But anti depressants do. You can see in studies the hippocampus regaining size and activity.
>>
>>79343651
>"""""good"""""
>not (((good)))
>>
>>79349499
I've battled depression all my life, and I've yet to find an SSRI that works for me. Lexapro was one of the first I tried, and I had the same reaction you did. Dramatic ups and dramatic downs. They say depression is an imbalance of chemicals, but I'm starting to think it's purely psychological. As someone who has been clinically-diagnosed by several psychiatrists, I'm very happy taking zero drugs while having a job and social life. I think that's all you need. Sitting and playing video games all day everyday is fun but it ruins your happiness over time.
