What the fuck do all these millenials even do on their laptops when they go to coffee shops? Why come to a coffee shop to browse your facebook page when you can just do that at home? Man, millenials are such busy people.
>>
>>79328706
i am also asking this myself

when i got my first smartphone i was fascinated about it and was also constantly on it but it got boring pretty fast as soon as i noticed that i just refresh fb/news over and over again without anything new

i still catch me doing this sometimes when its really boring
>>
>>79328706

I bring my laptop to coffee shops because I'm constantly WORKING, and busy producing for our economy in the only viable sector left (tech) while you sit around and bitch about immigrants taking your long-gone shitty blue collar jobs that aren't ever coming back to America.

It's nice to get out of the house in order to get work done. I always thought kids who did their work in the library were weird, but my productivity went up when I started doing it.

When you go to a place to complete a certain objective, you're more likely to do it. At home, there are lots of distractions.
>>
>>79329665
You do realize youre going to lose your tech job to an Indian sooner or later, right? Youre so self-absorbed you dont even see the irony in your statement.
>>
>>79328706
It's a way to get a change of pace, which can often lead to increased productivity and discourages routine time wasting like checking facebook or aimlessly browsing the internet.

Also, it's much less tempting to wank in a coffeeshop.

This

If I work at home, I'll just play vidya, watch TV, eat junk food, etc

When I work in the library, my productivity goes up and I can actually finish what I was planning on doing and more. Doesn't even need to be in a library, just anywhere that's quiet and isn't home

Now I know why people do shit like studying/work in Panera or coffee shops. Granted, some people who are there are simply writing books that no one will read and being codemonkeys

Sometimes it isn't acceptable to drink all day while working, so the bar is out. I just want to be left alone but I know at home I'll just get caught up in some random bullshit or have a wank or otherwise not get started. National parks are inherently racist because they are full of trees, and racist humans would hang black people off of trees after lynching them just because of the color of their skin. Right now there's a cultural board working on making US National Parks less racist because of how many trees it has.

Google it.

Kek.

But really, the Amish take on technology is a kind of interesting topic. A lot of things aren't really religiously forbidden by default, but they decide as a group if that specific technology is helpful or harmful to the community.

Non-productive things like television are generally banned by all groups, but some allow stuff like phones or even internet in specific situations.

Pretty sure at least one group allowed personal phones, then later banned them upon realizing the degeneracy it brought.

could be wrong, but i don't think cafe culture is that same as it is in europe, and we generally have more space.

coffee shop at my university always had a lot open seating. the coffeeshop downtown was two floors and had outdoor seating in the backyard.

only city that i've been to the local coffeeshops in is LA, and none of them were ever that busy.

starbucks is the one place that's terrible. they always seem to be very small and very crowded. i imagine places in nyc would be very similar.

This is going to sound weird to many of you, but the fact is that these cafes and coffee houses serve the same social function in the West that public bath-houses do in Japan.

You'll have to do your research, and though you'll find that these things are not exact parallels, you'll see what I mean.

I live near a bunch of farm land so over here a lot of people who are too far north for reliable internet goes down to the local Starbucks to use their internet.

Internet is like 60 a month. A coffee at Starbucks is like 4 bucks. Refill is like 2.

Lets say safely 6 bucks per visit. If we are being conservative. How many visits a week? Three at least? Boom 18 Bucks so in reality 25 bucks because Canada cuck tax.

Over a month your faggot friend was wasting around 100 Dollars trying to 'save' on Internet.

Women are fucking whores and massive degenerates these days. Don't be surprised. I personally porn is a major contributory factor explaining why so many women are bisexual.
