There are conservative/moderate Democrats. The kind of people who are conservative/moderate on social issues but favor more taxes on the rich, being more inclined to do something about climate change, etc. Reagan Democrats essentially. Most of them lean toward people like Trump or Perot instead of traditional Republican candidates, and they are why Trump got more votes in the primaries than any other Republican candidate in history, and why he'll most likely win.
