Civilians should not carry this.

Discuss.
>>
Completely agree. I'm against guns but at this point it's unreasonable to take away every gun in the USA. They should just register all gun owners, make it possible you can't buy one if you're a criminal and only allow small handguns and pistols. No one needs a machine gun.

Disagree.

Giving masculinity to 160 million people is more important than whether or not 3 extra people die in the bi-annual mass shootings.
>>

I agree completely. It's absurd to let Americans carry that.
I think they should add a strap to help and free up their hands.

most people shouldn't have guns... but they SHOULD should have guns.

that being said, we the 2nd amendment is the 2nd amendment. the state can NOT take guns away from people. a bad person could take the guns from the people that NEED guns, if that was the case.

we pay the price for that.

it is my opinion that you should join the NRA before getting a gun unless your life is actually in danger. in which case you can join the NRA after getting a gun.

the point of having guns is to create a safe space for freedom. there have been quite a few demonstrations by (((NEO NAZI WHITE SUPREMECISTS))) where violence by leftist storm troopers was completely prevent and possibly lives being saved just because one man had a gun.

i don't think a lot of non americans understand the price we're willing to pay for freedom.

Anything more than 10 rounds and/or semi-auto should be regulated VERY heavily. They need to actually give a shit about people's mental health too. You should be required to take a safety course to buy guns at all in the first place.
>>
>>79174903

How do you kill people with the magazine? By throwing? Considering that most magazines are of light aluminum or polymer these days I doubt this woud be even lethal. Maybe you should try dropping a 100 round beta mag from your balcony on unsuspecting peoples heads? It could work.

Guns are often used to self-defense, but yes, you don't need an assault rifle to defend yourself from thieves, you need them, like it says in the 2nd amendment, to defend yourself against riots(Ferguson), invasions(happens in Syria atm), government tyranny(happens in many countries atm), etc.

Ah, also, gun laws won't take away guns from criminals, only from law abiding citizens.

no significant difference. .22 and 5.56 wouldn't make any difference shooting soft college kids at close range.

they both shoot just as fast.

are just as accurate.

have the same choices in mags.

in the situation of 'we must kill as many rich pussy kids as possible', there is no practical difference between a mini 14 and a 10/22.

well, honestly, since you can carry a lot more ammo for the 10/22, it might be more dangerous. those faggy kids are gonna die after being hit with a .22 just the same as a .223cal / 5.56mm. the extra bullet weight and speed wouldn't add much to the effectiveness. these were not strong, motivated men he was shooting.

true. true.

not criticizing breiviks choice of weapons. just saying. pretty much the only fire-arm that's "less scary" than the 10/22 is the AR7, and you can kill scores of people with them.

and we haven't even begun discussing how air-weapons and laser weapons are totally unregulated.

a lot of people might not think that you can throw arcs of plasma that kill on contact instantly 40 yards. but you can.

the people that want to take guns away are the people that feel they deserve to be shot.

It's not the government's job to determine if someone is "responsible" and "not going to kill an innocent person with it".

There are gungrabbers in the government that think anyone wanting to own any firearms is "irresponsible" and "want to kill innocent people with it" thus no one should be allowed to own firearms.

To be fair, maybe he was just confused and doesn't know they're made from similar materials.

Also, the beauty of 3D printing gun parts is that it can't be "banned", unless the government starts putting severe restrictions on the internet and invades our privacy even more, to make sure people aren't downloading gun parts. 3D printing further exposes the futility of gun control; if someone wants a gun, they are going to find a way to get one no matter what.

>It's not the government's job to determine if someone is "responsible" and "not going to kill an innocent person with it".
I'm just trying to level with them. The problem is innocent people being killed, right? If someone isn't going to kill someone with their gun, then why would it matter if they carried a gun around, as long as they're responsible with it? Not only is it my second amendment right, it's also the logical and moral decision.

All of the logic, facts, morality, fun, and freedom are on the pro-gun side, and the anti-gun side is the opposite of all of that.

Then he's making a decision from the realm of feelings, not facts. Which is a trait of gungrabbers.

>The problem is innocent people being killed, right?
No, that's the narrative.
The real problem is that they are trying to strip us of our rights one firearm, one bullet and one accessory at a time.

>If someone isn't going to kill someone with their gun, then why would it matter if they carried a gun around, as long as they're responsible with it?
They don't want you to have it regardless if you're responsible or not. They are trying to control the narrative that even owning a semi-auto rifle is irresponsible and thus, no one should have it.

Public schools should train classes in firearm safety from elementary school though highschool and your diploma should sufficient when you pick up your AR on graduation day

The term you're looking for is "standard capacity."

Using the correct terminology allows you to control the narrative as the gungrabbers love to use inaccurate, loaded language.

I used to be all for Canadian gun laws, however, upon further thought, why bother?

>Gun violence is higher in the U.S.
Yes, because there are more guns, HOWEVER, violent crime in general is lower than many other first-world nations.
Murder is higher, since Americans are more successful at killing people.

I believe in a licensing system (though the ability to sign up for a license, and having the license once you've passed tests and whatnot should be rights, and then once you have a license, it's a right to own a gun) to ensure that insane people aren't able to purchase guns, but I hate limiting what legal gun owners can own, there's no reason for it.
>>
>>79184047
>If someone is so insane that they'd kill innocent people, what are they doing walking the streets?
they havent detected he is a mental case yet
or maybe he is under the influence of drugs/alcohol and his condition is temporary
why allow him to buy weapons so easily

and yes, the state is a social contract that works in the common interest, which includes you, the meddling with your freedom is only with the function to secure you more freedom by stopping a lunatic from blowing your brains out just because he had a few extra beers that night and he cant control himself

just read Hegel, friend

>>79184083
>What's stopping some lunatic from getting one illegally and killing 100 people with it?
if not stopping it completely, atleast making it harder for them to get one is still of benefit

its completely insane to have the right to just walk in a store and get an assault rifle without any background check
people who are buying it in self defence and to protect their property will still be able to get them
>>
>>79185226
>i stand corrected then. Standard capacity it is

Another added bonus is that using the correct terminology allows you to trigger the fuck out of the gungrabbers. That's always fun!

Then there is no reason why he wouldn't be allowed to own a firearm thus you can't stop him from his shooting spree.

>or maybe he is under the influence of drugs/alcohol and his condition is temporary
In which case you wouldn't be able to stop the shooting spree as he'd be perfectly sane when buying the firearm.

>why allow him to buy weapons so easily
Becuase it's his right. If he's so mentally unstable or criminally violent that he'd kill innocent people, why is the government allowing him on the street? Fix the mental health system and the rehabilitation system and leave everyone's rights alone.

>and yes, the state is a social contract that works in the common interest, which includes you, the meddling with your freedom is only with the function to secure you more freedom by stopping a lunatic from blowing your brains out just because he had a few extra beers that night and he cant control himself
It's a good thing then that my rights should remain intact and I'd then be able to defend myself from him.

Oh wait...all those laws didn't stop the crazy person from getting a gun and those laws stop the law abiding from being able to defend themselves.

Gun free zones.
Specific gun model bans.
Ridiculous firearm accessory bans/mandatory equipment.
Making it incredibly difficult/expensive to buy/carry/use firearms.

really makes me think
well, over here, they (Ministry of internal affairs) talk with people close to you to see if you are stable mentally, and decide if they want to give you a licence. Seems to work fine, but then, we can have a tyranical goverment and not give a shit, since we're not used to democracy.

Criminals don't follow gun free zones of course.
Law abiding citizens do and thus, they are at the mercy of those who break the law.

>dumb
>agreed, not a good idea
Of course they're all dumb. Gun control is dumb because it only affect the law abiding.

>well, over here, they (Ministry of internal affairs) talk with people close to you to see if you are stable mentally, and decide if they want to give you a licence.
So your rights are given to you by the government when you prove to the government that you deserve them.
And now that they know you're exercising those rights, they have the information to be able to take those rights away from you whenever they want.
