>Almost three quarters of respondents to a Bloomberg survey conducted after Britain voted to leave the European Union say the economy will slip into a recession for the first time since 2009. A majority also predict that the Bank of England governor and fellow policy makers will add more stimulus, including cutting interest rates in the third quarter.

That means 29% don't. Or rather, 29% turned down the EU bribes.

>academics are bribed en masse by governmental bodies

Fuck off.

If that was true, none of them would ever say their own country is going into a recession.
>>
Britain did fine for centuries without the EU.

They can do fine without it now.
Whether or not they will is up for debate.

'Straya and I have been looking into nice retirement homes in case you fuck this up, dad.

Is this like the minority of economists who commented on Brexit prior to the referendum.
When it was looked at properly only 16% of economists ever said it would be bad. Most didn't feel the need to give a shit.

>Implying economics is a democracy

The two thirds number sends this conclusion into serious doubt. The arguments of the individual economists must be assessed.

An opinion poll is useless in this situation.

The recession is partly from the EU partly from natural market forces. Of course their market would be flustered from this. If the country was smart at all they would have attempted to prepare for this recession.

The decision to leave the EU and ultimately leave it for good is not even CLOSE to an event big enough to bring about 2008 again. Not to mention, they don't have Obama to deal with.

Its easier to fix a recession than to win your sovereignty. Which one is more important?

The EU is also projected to hit a recession soon.

Markets have been declining throughout the whole year; we're heading for another crunch and to blame this on Brexit is stupid as it's clearly been in the works longer than the referendum has been.

Anybody who takes economists seriously beyond general trends and theory is an imbecile. I'm sure their crystal ball will reveal many things to those who pay well.

The only assertion I'm making is that IF the UK goes into recession it will because Italy turns into Greece 2.0 and the Eurozone has to stretch its anus wide enough to accommodate the moon, not because of uncertainty over Brexit

Also the next budget will cut business and corporate rates. We tax haven soon

That is far from a consensus. Free trade generally being good gets like 99%.

Bank shills were saying economy would keep going.

Actual economists working at universities were saying the real estate bubbles were going to pop very soon and the result would be devastating.

71% if economists also predicted we'd be a barren wasteland that no one would want to trade with by this point yet we're already recovering and we've had more than one trade offer per day since we voted to leave, pic related.

You used to be an empire.
We wouldn't exist if you hadn't existed first.

The Constitution is based on the Magna Carta.

You make me sad. The same sadness I felt watching my grandfather die when I was 15.

And, all you care about now is using acceptable words to describe your own death. The grandfather I love and remember cared more about actions than he did about words.
