It all has to do with family bro. My grandparents came and settled in th e valley with their parents during the dustbowl. They lived in farm camps and worked in potato fields. My grandparents grew up doing that, then did better for their family. For some reason, my mother's and her siblings didn't take many lessons from them, and ended up with shitty jobs, and shitty spouses. People who come to /pol/ and say they "changed ideolgy", in almost their entirety, are people who actually didn't know anything about their ideology. They just sorta skimmed news at the most and wound up someplace that talked seriously about politics, which forced them to actually think about their own views and values.
What you're experiencing isn't people being TURNED INTO White nationalists. It's people who are probably already white nationalists or have that bent ideologically and value wise, but they just didn't really care. What liberals are doing are polarizing people. That's the word for it. It means that people are being energized, but not necessarily convinced. It's just making them more interested. Thus, as much as they create liberals, they also create white nationalists who will campaign against them.

I've noticed a gradual change in online newspaper comment sections in Finland too. Years ago articles about immigration had in their comments a lot of heated debate about who's right and who's wrong, but these days nearly every comment is anti-immigration and gets a lot of likes from other readers. The rare pro-multiculturalism comments get a large number of dislikes.
And yeah, I've started to focus more on the comment sections on news stories than the actual news. They tend to be more interesting to read.
Do any Swedish newspapers have comment sections online, btw? Every time that people post links to Swedish articles here, I see no comment sections at all. It feels so outdated to lack any commenting. I suppose it's the Swedish way to stop people from saying any uncomfortable things?
