Entire West Coast and most of New England can hate him, and he can still win 270+ EC's through swing states
Right now, the polling isn't all that good in these swing states, but they have huge room for improvement by Trump

The state by state system is retarded but it really doesn't have a big effect on the outcome. Mostly, it just concentrates the fight into the few states that most closely match the national polls so the rest of us don't have to get bombarded with the ads.
