I've smoked almost every day for over a decade. My health is great, I lift weights heavier and run faster than the average man. I am more intelligent than my peers and work at home with a successful business that challenges my creativity. I still look good and have had a faithful gf for several years.
I'm not advocating its use but it has helped me function as I had a hard childhood that would've turned to suicide without weed.
It is illegal because it is a threat to society as it makes the user perceive different perspectives that question the values and authority of the status quo.

Legalising it will "crash the stock market" and these unchecked, unregulated businesses known as cartels will need to restructure themselves to maintain their profits, so weed fields become cocaine fields and harder drugs get pumped in.
If weed really is harmless, and we as a country are not willing/able to create a cash crop, control our border or combat gangs/drugs, then why should we legislate a market shift away from something so harmless?
