You're all trying to think of rational things to change with the work of men. I'd do something different.
I'd go to the exact moment that the nukes begin to fly, that all the forces are ready to destroy one another. And just as the nukes are beginning to drop to their targets... They vanish. Gone. All in an instant. And every other nuke as well. Gone completely. And that's all.
Time is too tricky, too many variables to fix, emotions to check, so instead of wishing what could have been, change what is now.
