Because most who claim they're trans are NOT trans. Actual people who are transsexual suffer from a mental disorder called Gender Dysphoria. It is a terrible condition in where they feel like they are in the wrong body and they will try as hard as they can to correct it and feel either feminine if they're male or masculine if they're female.
The issue arises when there's a shitty "community" made around it who poses it as hip or cool. Making it into a trend and into something "fun" and "interesting" to try out rather than treating it as something serious.
