I agree, if you've got a bit of money on the side, the US is probably the greatest place to live. I've had a grand 7 years there, it's quite amazing. A close second place goes to Austria, though. If you had a city like Vienna with its almost 2000 year history somewhere in the US to access all of that natural beauty, you'd be leading by a mile.

It's not very simple to explain, but you pay a monthly rate for the basic coverage - and when shit goes down, you start paying a bit out of your pocket, but only up to a maximum that's decided by whatever plan you've opted for. I think I spent less on my American health care than I did on my mandatory Austrian one. Then again, I didn't have brain cancer, so I don't fully know how that would have panned out..
