Brexit hasn't actually affected anything. It's only a popular opinion poll.
Britain can't exit until the PM sends a letter saying they want to exit.

I hope the brits actually get out, but I kind of doubt they will, given the EUs history.

Why are you such poor losers? What don't you understand about once in a lifetime, no going back, Out means Out, no 2nd referendum? Why doesn't that bit register? Are you incapable of coming to grips with reality of the Brexit situation?
If you accept it are you going to break down or lose your sanity if there's no other way but Brexit? A load of those signatures aren't even British which pretty much invalidates the petition anyway..
>>78688568
Wake me up when it's higher than 17 million signatures.
>>78690870
It will be in approxumatly two days
Only 800k will be from Britain though
>>78690197
Actually you'll be pleasantly surprised that all things are pointing towards exiting. Labour and Tories won't risk a call for ignoring the referendum. MEPs quite like being electable.
>>78692046
Well to be fair, I didn't even think the vote would pass. I've just become incredibly cynical and don't expect good things to happen.
Too late, cucks.
The EU want us gone as fast as possible, before we scare the other horses even further.
By insisting 52% is not enough, you are demanding 48% is? Obama won the US presidency by less than the Brexit percentage win; should they have kept voting?

So where's the remaining 1.4m?
>How Can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat!!??!!??!!
What I have found interesting over the last few hours is watching my own political views shifting massively in response to the result. I suppose a sudden shift in your personal identity will do that.
Since WWII Britain has questioned itself over its place in the world, and it feels like this vote has finally had us announce an answer. Britain, it seems, is to be isolationist, no longer a player in global geopolitical affairs, and we will likely see our global interconnectedness, wealth and status decline significantly. We have decided to be a small nation.
With that in mind, there are a number of issues on which my position has dramatically reversed. Scottish independence, for example. I used to be opposed, but now I support it enthusiastically. Good for the Scots if they manage it. I envy them. The same goes for Irish reunification. It doesn't matter if the UK diminishes to just England and Wales, because we no longer aspire to greatness.
Similarly my support for the UK maintaining a nuclear arsenal and high military spending in general has plummeted. What's the point? We're no longer interested in international influence. We should cut the military significantly, save the money and spend it on investing in infrastructure. God knows the economy is going to need it. And to be honest I wouldn't much care if the UK were taken over by a foreign invader anyway. They can't do much worse than we have.
If this all sounds consistently liberal, it's not. The referendum was won for Leave by the working class and I hold them responsible for robbing me of many of my most valuable rights and for what it's going to do to the country. My sympathy and solidarity has evaporated overnight. I used to be an enthusiastic supporter of the welfare state funded by high taxation, but fuck em. Privatise the NHS, cut benefits.

go to the referendum raw data: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/131215.json
then paste this into your browsers console:
var data = JSON.parse(document.body.firstElementChild.textContent);
var locations = data.data.attributes.signatures_by_country;
var newdata = [];
for (var place in locations){newdata.push({"name": locations[place].name,"count":locations[place].signature_count})};
var sorted = newdata.sort(function(a, b){
var keyA = a.count,
keyB = b.count;
if(keyA < keyB) return 1;
if(keyA > keyB) return -1;
return 0;
});
for ( var place in sorted){console.log(sorted[place].name+" : "+sorted[place].count)};

I don't get it. Apparently one million Brits want a revote for brexit? YOU JUST FUCKING VOTED? Their reason is that too few people (72%) got to vote. But it's not like the people who didn't vote were prohibited from it, most likely they were just lazy and probably didn't care about the question until afterwards. Can you really demand a revote then? It's really hard to understand how these people think.

Changed this to include the signatures grouped by constituency. The numbers seem pretty legit.

var locations = data.data.attributes.signatures_by_country;
var constituencies = data.data.attributes.signatures_by_constituency;
var newdata = [];

var newdata2 = [];
for (var place in constituencies){newdata2.push({"name": constituencies[place].name,"count":constituencies[place].signature_count})};
function mysort(a, b){
var keyA = a.count,
keyB = b.count;
if(keyA < keyB) return 1;
if(keyA > keyB) return -1;
return 0;
}
var sorted = newdata.sort(mysort);
var sorted2 = newdata2.sort(mysort);
var sum=0;
for ( var place in sorted){console.log(sorted[place].name+" : "+sorted[place].count); sum+=sorted[place].count};
var sum2=0;
for ( var place in sorted2){console.log(sorted2[place].name+" : "+sorted2[place].count); sum2 += sorted2[place].count};
console.log("Sum by countries: " + sum);

So fucking sick of lefties.
Got an email from Change.org saying that since we are leaving the EU, there are loads of petitions regarding this leave.
My first thought was that it would be petitions to try and secure certain laws and funding for after we leave, such as a petition to ask the government to spend a fixed percentage on science funding after Brexit.
But no, it's whingey lefties going "make London independent" or "give us EU passports before we leave"
Fuck lefties.
>>78692306
Which is funny, as the same logic won't apply for the inevitable Scotland and Northern Ireland independence (and unification for NI with RoI) happening.

Remain got rekt. Even with Londonistani's and Scotcucks voting.
Article 50 is likely to get invoked at the EU council meeting next week. German Finance Ministry is recommending to the EU council that Britain gets partner status to the remaining 27 countries so access to the single market is the same meaning quicker stability if we leave quickly to avoid France,Netherlands,Spain,Germany,Italy,Sweden,Greece and Czech Republic demanding their referendums.
All 6 founders are DEMANDING Britain get the exit procedure underway quickly for an exit of June 2018 and are advising we get started on the 100,000 pages of laws and regulations of over 40 years to find the ones we want to keep for ourselves and the ones we want to remove completely

Because the petition is meaningless in and of itself.
It's just there so the public can bring issues they feel are important to the attention of parliament.
The government will give an official response within 1 day of the petition obtaining 10.000 signatures. This is usually in the form of information/feedback about laws/regulations already in place regarding the matter and what can be expected to happen in the future (iirc the "legalize cannabis" petition was told that "odds are gtfo will be the answer")
When the petition reaches 100.000 votes an MP committee will have a "long hard look" at the petition and decide whether or not to put it before parliament for debate. At this point they can just say, "no, gtfo" ("legalize cannabis" was told to "gtfo" at this stage).
If this committee for some reason feels like spiting Parliament because someone wasn't paying enough attention last time they were the speaker, then they can obligate Parliament to debate the issue. At this point the parties in parliament can decide to commit political suicide by allowing a 2nd referendum or they can tell them to piss off.
TL;DR
It's a colossal waste of time, it won't go past the MP committee, because everyone has better things to do than debate a 2nd referendum that will get rejected in the end anyway after lengthy filibuster attempts by liberal MP's who stand nothing to lose and everything to gain by liberal student's cocks.

Well, you see mate, there are three ways to go now. Turn right, and Cameron or a new Prime Minister will have to annulate the referendum (because it is legaly non-binding, yada yada). Go ahead, and proceed with it, and pray that consequences of this madness are not dire (they are quite bad), or turn left and let the Parliament vote (because Parliament is sovereign).
.LEAVE voters are forgeting, and it is quite ironic, that annulating the referendum is an execution of the legislation of UK that is not being dictated by EU, something that they demanded.
Another thing is, that LEAVE voters are absolutely ignorant of the consequences towards integrity of UK. They are effectively voting for disintegration of UK, which i think is tantamount to treason/high treason (as in - an attempt at harming Crown and its subjects)?
Also, no sane person will ever commit self-harm. The whole affair stinks of insanity. And one must be insane to go against reason and logic and accept this referendum.
This referendum was a stick that Cameron and Tories tried to use as a bargaining/threatening tool against EU. Problem is, they bent it too much and it hit them back, right in the face - the gamble failed miserably.
Now BJ will try to get himself to be PM - it is his ambition, and he will do it, harming UK.

One of the weaknesses of democracy is the fact that people can make ill-informed, uneducated, harming decisions because they lack the comprehension and cognitive abilities to see what is good and what is not.
Thus one has to have a safety net.

The fucking arrogance of these twits is mind-boggling. Do they actually believe that their vote-, no, their OPINION is worth more than the votes of the 17 million who voted to leave?
This is how a democratic majority decision fucking works, there are no re-takes because there are sore losers.

It's probably just how the system works
The city of london is essentially a different country in the uk but all uk votes would be shown in that. Stupid analogy but you get what i mean
>>78693500
>It doesn't matter if the UK diminishes to just England and Wales, because we no longer aspire to greatness.
Surely there is more aspiration in a nation that decided that they value their own independence and sovereignty above being bossed around by an undemocratic oligarchy with delusions of grandeur who play a political game with the lives and money of everyone in Europe?

Not correct. Most of the UK votes are listed per constituency; only UK voters who didn't give a postcode are listed under the 300k figure.

It is the same one as was posted earlier here (http://pastebin.com/rgiiPbww), but I just replaced GB with KP in the country code.
