That brings us to the central question, the very root of all questions: what is reality? Reality follows a basic set of laws and rules, obviously, but why do they exist? Order implies intelligence. That leads to a logical paradox, however; what created God?
If there is a God, then he has always existed. If there is no God, then the underlying laws of reality have always existed. Both are illogical, and impossible... so where do we come from? You can also assume that the true nature of existence is above our perception - the problem with that is this: from a materialistic standpoint, what could possibly be above our perception?
