Anyone have some red-pilled books? Starting with the obvious.
>1984
>"redpilled"
/pol/ is an authoritarian board, freedom of any kind is degenerate the individual doesn't know what's good for him
>>78339027
It's funny. I always thought it'd be the right to instill this kinda of government, but we can see the left already putting this in motion.
This, I think PUA's are fags though. I read it a long time ago, I think it was a good read and an eye opener
>>78339027
Why's 1984 not redpilled?
>>78338264
Brave New World
>>78339279
The only way for freedom to be taken away in an age where information is readily available is to convince people to give it away.
All the problems we face are temporary, but the solutions we make are permanent

This is damn near the ultimate red pill.
>>78339844

George Orwell was socialist scum, not redpilled in the slightest
>>78339725
No, you tell them you're doing it for their protection or progression
>>78338264
t. Teenager
>>78339573
Because mass surveillance, less freedom and authoritarianism are good for the individual. A considerable amount of /pol/ users agree that fascism is god tier , therefore 1984's rendition of these values isn't redpilled in the slightest.
>>78339027
>the individual doesn't know what's good for him
Yeah, so do like the god emperor says and build the fucking wall pablo.
>>78339844
OK holy leaf that doesn't even know how to greentext, tell me what /pol/ is about

Left = 1984 (eg: what we see today with manipulation of information by the left in terms of refugees)
Right = BNW (eg: american culture)
Right?
>>78340062
Orwell's Homage To Catalonia, Animal Farm and 1984 are pol required reading. English speakers cannot discuss politics at all without Orwellian terminology and concepts. While a Trotskyite, Orwell was early and uniquely articulate in rejecting Stalin (something Sartre stumbled over) and all totalitarianism. Orwell's articulation of linguistic clarity as a prerequisite for morality is the red pill itself. It slays Marx, whose real innovation was to spend hours at the British Library learning to cleverly paraphrase things, and anticipates Stephen Coughlin's masterful vivisection of abrogation, taqiyya and dawa by the Ikhwan in "Catastrophic Failure."
>>78340777
THIS!
Preprogramed societies are the only thing that could work. 1984 is a do NOT do this manual.
BNW is a do this instead. As much as i support fredon of thinking i can not deny that a society programed to work like in BNW is the best way for humanity. Although scientifical approach should be heavily favored for the top alphas not shuned. Science is not a worthy sacrifice.

>>78340663
I've read it. It is good in some way, it shows leftist that what they belive is actually some kind of religon, but the main problem with stirner is "Me, ego". All the book is about to reject spooks, but if you can't do it. How can someone say if their decision if dicated by himself or by the spooks? You may think that you're above spooks, that you choose to love someone or to with against something, you think that those are YOUR ideas, not spooks. But in reality you can notice the truth. Stirner "edo man" just doesn't exist.
>>78341440
Yes. Find it and read it immediately, Raspail predicts everything in the migrant crisis down to how specific actors respond and why. It has a great, chilling scene in which an SJW goes to meet a herd of "refugees" after having advocated for their movement to Europe, and they just trample him to death.

Yes and no. They want control. They want control any way they can get it. They are not monolithic (see Springmeier) and so at various times there are disputes as to the best way to proceed. Different methods look more effective at different times. But we must not dismiss one or the other model because both are relevant and both are in effect. Pop culture and big pharma are there to keep you happily brainless, but if you get thoughtful, there's always Homeland Security and the Chicago Black Site. It's both at the same time, they are carrot and stick.

While Huxley was ultimately right concerning the masses, Orwell too was correct concerning the minority. Most people can be easily soothed into captivity by TV and information overload, but a minority resist it, and for those the government is using Orwellian tactics like censorship and suppression of key information.
But only Huxley's conclusion was correct, people are controlled through pleasure. Big brother is watching, but no one takes the time to notice.
>>78341880
Yes, very nice, it includes invaluable characterizations of leftists, and the Cabin Boy Parable, which most elegantly explains the liberal identity politics strategy ("Would racism end if we held banks accountable?"). The most valuable thing in his book in my opinion is what he says about the freedom restricting nature of technological progress and how it shapes society, while the opposite should be true. Although I gotta say, it demoralized me a lot.

This image pretends like Orwell made sweeping statements about what the future would look like. 1984 was based on his experiences with the Communists in the Spanish Civil War and the restrictive, espionage and authoritarian atmosphere around Barcelona at the time. This guy was killed by two officers after he apparently attacked one unprovoked by shooting him in the head twice with a .45 and said officer survived.
They were there because he hadn't been paying the income tax to the IRS.
He also predicted that a terrorist attack would happen on 9/11 and would be blamed on Osama Bin Laden. This was several months before he was killed.
It's full of a lot of bullshit about reptilians and such, but it's widely believe Cooper put such things in so it looked like just another crackpot conspiracy theory. The real meat of the book explains the Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars documents, how secret societies and satanism has run rampant behind the scenes of our civilization, and how multiple factions are vying for power of the NWO.

Orwell was a democratic socialist and said this:
"Every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism and for democratic Socialism, as I understand it."
“Socialism does mean justice and liberty when the nonsense is stripped off it.”
"In my opinion, nothing has contributed so much to the corruption of the original idea of socialism as the belief that Russia is a socialist country and that every act of its rulers must be excused, if not imitated."
Worth mentioning: What most Americans often think of as "socialism" or "communism" is actually Stalinism. Communism is actually a stateless society in addition to being classless, hence why the first anarchists and libertarians were also communists (i.e. Joseph Déjacque). Orwell's 1984 was as much a warning about historical revisionists (i.e. Cold War Era US on socialism vs. capitalism) as it was about authoritarian/totalitarian regimes.

It seems there's a main division between Hellenism (Greeks and Romans) and Hebracism (Jews).
Infinite Jest is the ultimate red pill if you can find it
Actually reading Adam Smith's "Wealth of Nations" as opposed to being spoon-fed a historical revisionist version.
I think many people would think that Karl Marx wrote some parts of it himself, if they had no idea the founder of free market capitalism was it's author.
Some snippets:
"It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion."
"The mean rapacity, the monopolizing spirit of merchants and manufacturers, who neither are, nor ought to be, the rulers of mankind."
"When the regulation, therefore, is in support of the workman, it is always just and equitable."
"Landlords, like all other men, love to reap where they never sowed"
"All for ourselves, and nothing for other people, seems, in every age of the world, to have been the vile maxim of the masters of mankind."
"No society can surely be flourishing and happy, of which the far greater part of the members are poor and miserable."
"The rate of profit is always highest in the countries which are going fastest to ruin."
"Landlords, like all other men, love to reap where they never sowed".

Repeal of state-enforced claims to "ownership", being replaced with communal "ownership" of the means of production.
The syndicalist unions and stateless communities in Revolutionary Catalonia and Anarchist Aragon are an example of what form of "socialism" Orwell supported.
What many people mistaken for "socialism" or "communism" is a transition phase proposed by Lenin and Stalin, in which capitalism must be overthrown and power consolidated in a regime before transitioning to true communism (which is a purely stateless society). Historically, communism is the natural human behavior for any society or group without the existence of a state (which uses coercion to enforce feudalist claims to ownership), in the case of tribal communities or any example of stateless society (Anarchist Aragon, Revolutionary Catalonia).

>made up bullshit
Actually, the average tax burden is the lowest it has been since the 1950s [1], our tax rates have significantly lowered over the past four decades, especially for upper-income earners. Millionaires on average pay 30% or less while most people making $100,000 or less in the US pay 35% of their taxable income.[2]
The rate is even significantly lower for upper-middle class earners as evidenced by the insanely low effective tax rates of 14% for Mitt Romney in 2011.[3] Warren Buffett paying 17.4% (compared to the 36% paid by his office workers) and Donald Trump himself paying 0% for federal incomes taxes according to the only tax returns he has released in the past. This is due to the insane amount of tax breaks currently available to wealthy income earners, through loopholes and tax incentives.
If you pay any attention to tax policy in the US, you would know that both political parties have cut the effective federal tax rates consistently ever since Reagan. Both parties view tax breaks as an effective form of economic stimulus, not coincidentally ever since this radically new policy creed was adopted during the Reagan administration, our national debt has skyrocketed.

"The search for meaning in life, the protagonist, a main on the brink of despair an a failed inventor, finds himself among a group of conspirators who are in thrall to a man known simply as the Astrologer. The Astrologer has the cure for everything that ails civilization. Unemployment will be cured by mass enslavement. (Mountains will be hollowed out and turned into factories.) When Atwood wrote that book it was in response to feminists allying themselves with religious people on the issue of pornography. Both wanted to see tighter restrictions for their own reasons. Atwood pushed for the kind of ultra degenerate "sex positive " feminism we currently see by writing a post apocalyptic senario where men used women as breeding machines via a Christian pre text. The ultimate irony is it is the left, specifically homosexuals who use women as breeding machines for when they decide to "rent a womb" buy a child from someone. Of course this filthy degeneracy is simply "loving people sharing that love with a child" and not using the poor as brood mares in an attempt to give their sodomite perversion a veneer of normalcy.

Quotes a full page of Derrida, the post-structuralist who laid the foundation for the non-binary feminist and post-colonialist social justice bullshit everyone one on this board constantly complains about.

Hey, please answer >>78364101, Is it worth a read?
the best 9/11 book
>>78381006
I doubt a Jew would enjoy it, it's very "anti semitic". But yes it's worth a read , remarkable that in 1978 the author guessed so accurately the SJW/vilification of white men, forced affirmative action, etc...and more relevant he current push for gun control
>>78381641
I post here, you can ignore my flag - if "antisemitism" would have bothered me I'd have a stroke by now.
Cool, I'll read it.
>>78381952
I'd recommend paying in cash, it likely gets you put on a watch list. And I hope you like it, even though it's dated in that the the author didn't anticipate the internet which would have drastically changed the plot
>>78350354
pretty accurate. no holocaust propaganda, which is rare for a mainstream nazi book.
>>78382359
I'll most likely read it on the web, and I'm pretty sure that ordering it online will put me on a watchlist regardless, and that I am already on one with the many problematic texts I have on my PC.

I'm reading Hemingway's For Whom the Bell Tolls and enjoying the insight into Spanish culture it gives. What are your thoughts on Franco?
I must say I don't really know about dystopian books whle they are OK to read you can grasp the premise by reading a summary. The rest is written to emphasize the propaganda characters face

1984 is literally a cautionary tale against Stalinism spreading in the west. It shows what the end result will be if Stalinism is ever combined with modern surveillance technology.

/pol/ will probably hate it, but it's a very well written book and would give you an idea what it would be like to be a woman in an ISIS/Syrian Civil War like situation.

One Second After, it isn't just red pilled, it should be required reading for /pol/. A Christian father attempts to save his family and his community after a nationwide disaster. This book tells a very likely story of how America is vulnerable.

Not fiction but Stephen Coughlin's "Catastrophic Failure" needs to be your first book on Islam. It looks long, but only because he writes in accessible language, reiterates points, has extensive notes, and re-uses long quotations that are key to understanding Islamic jurisprudence. Also the main sources he cites (like Nyazee, or the Reliance of the Traveller) are very good English language further reading.
Anybody read Gorilla Mindset?

Accurate
But this book has spawned so many dumb fucks who spend their time wrapping ham radios in tin foil because the emp is gonna hit any moment. Book would be 100% better if everything just went dead and people were left to guess to their own.

I recently had a light conversation with coworkers regarding the Constitution.
What are some good books about the purpose of the bill of rights, specifically the 2nd amendment? Books by linguists and lawyers as well as direct words from the founders are a plus.
They also kept mentioning a book that basically told them: "The reason [Conservative] people think the bill of rights means what it means is because of their incorrect interpretation" obviously sounded hokey. If anyone knows what it is or any Anti-2nd amendment books (to understand the enemy) are appreciated.

The important thing about the Bill of Rights anon is the fact that the entire point of the Bill is to restrict the government from doing the things listed in the Bill.
They can't deny us freedom of religion.
They can't tell us what not to say.
They can't stop us from printing what we want.
They can't commit to an illegal search and seizure
Etc
Anyone who believes any one of the amendments are the Gov restricting the people in any way, contradict the entire purpose of the document.

Sounds like the exact opposite of Trump, who wants "close that internet up in some way", wants to open up libel laws for the press and thinks that the government should ban and fine journalists that he doesn't like.
"We're losing a lot of people because of the Internet. We have to go see Bill Gates and a lot of different people that really understand what's happening. We have to talk to them about, maybe in certain areas, closing that Internet up in some way. Somebody will say, 'Oh freedom of speech, freedom of speech.' These are foolish people. We have a lot of foolish people" - Donald Trump

Fahrenheit 451

*proposed by Marx himself
Lenin, Stalin, and other "communist" leaders just abuse the phase of government ownership to their own ends for power, never making Marx's transition into actual communism. Of course, how could you. Society never becomes able to rule itself without principles of private ownership.
