The book may seem a bit boring at times, having to do with starting the movement, the logistics, the jewish press at the time and the politicians, but it's a good handbook for such things. The legionary movement is different from others in that it's rooted in christianity - not the kind the pope preaches today, but one that kept the people together for centuries. Can someone give me a brief rundown of why national socialism is the best political and social system, or why it is at least better than what we currently have in the west. Between the lefty crybabies and the Nazi propaganda, it's hard to find a middle ground and truly understand the pros and cons of national socialism.

The prime objective of national socialism is to create a unified nation that strives for excellence and wherein the people support one another unconditionally.
This is inherently incompatible with democracy.
Democracy is a system that, by design, splits a nation into artifical factions that are in perpetual conflict with each other. Red vs Blue. Green vs Yellow. Etc.
Worse, the system inevitably devolves into corruption by an evolutionary process of sorts: The most successful parties and politicians will always be those that are the best at lying and manipulating the public (so as to get their votes) while actually serving the interests of those that give them the most "donations" (so as to fuel the next campaign of lies and manipulations). Some idealists will emerge, no doubt, but they simply cannot compete with a charismatic professional liar that is backed by connections to mass media.
National socialism seeks to destroy this system and replace it with a single, unified governing body that serves the peoples best interests as a matter of ideology (or, if all else fails, because the people would otherwise remove it).
No more lies, no more smear campaigns, no more empty promises never meant to be kept, no more endless arguments that never lead to action.
It combines two seemingly conflicting notions - the stark and stoic Nationalism with the subservient and altruistic Socialism - so that they may balance each other. The harshness of nationalism is softened by an imperative to help those in need. The weakness of socialism to exploitation is tempered with iron resolve and burning pride.
One nation. One state. From the people, for the people.

I can appreciate the idea of a united system that promotes action rather than division and seeks to move all of society towards a common goal. However, I feel that the power structure under such a system is doomed to fail in the long run. A state that commands its people but is not responsive to them is bound to corrupted by the will of individuals in power. How does a national socialist country curb excessive state power and individualistic aspirations. Also, if the ideology itself becomes corrupted or strays from its original intention, how does it correct itself if dissension in thought is frowned upon.

Assuming that self-sufficiency implies owning large amounts of land, would this not necessitate that a national socialist country become militant and imperialistic? We may disagree but I don't find the values that NatSoc preach to be radical, in fact, I find them to be quite normal. So no. It isn't radical to instil good values into children from a young age and it isn't bad to see self sacrifice from such young boys, it speaks volumes of their commitment to their Reich which you wont see today.

You say a key part of NatSoc is the people making sure that the government does what is best for them but on the other hand you say its the government's job to teach children how to think? That seems rather hypocritical to me. I consider education to be incredibly important for a nation's livelihood, uneducated masses are easily convinced and manipulated as we all know.

Oh so you want a radical solution for our current problems? Maybe that is the only solution, but I can't help but have my doubts. It seems to me you're just replacing globalists and media moguls with despots and corrupt bureaucrats. Democracy isn't a perfect system but I think it is still the best one we have and it just needs to be tweaked and not scrapped altogether. Letting business cross into government was the greatest mistake our founding fathers ever made.
Anyway that's just my two cents, I'm pretty tired and I don't really want to have a long debate at 6am.

In Greece, the Golden Dawn is a growing party inspired by National Socialism. There are many dubious organizations and parties, so watch out.
The best thing you can do besides activism is to find a good, decent, intelligent and genetically healthy White partner and build a family.
