No, the internet has led to a state where nobody thinks the same at all except when they happen to have seen the same obscure movie or heard the same song. Nobody can relate to each other, nobody has the same experiences. There's a reason why when you go out today you only see people looking at their phones and why when they get home they'll be interacting with people through the medium of technology (like us right now talking through a computer). We're disconnected from our immediate surrounds by so many levels that it's fucking insane. It's why it is so rare to actually meet someone who we can relate to on more than just a superficial level. It's why our interactions with one another are so "awkward", detached, and full of tension.
