A Montgomery police officer is accused of forcing a man to perform oral sex on him at gunpoint.
Deonte Lashawn Hamner, 27, was arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree sodomy, a Class A felony, Montgomery police say. He is being held in the Montgomery County Detention Facility on a $60,000 cash bond.
According to police and court records, the alleged sexual assault occurred on Thursday, June 9 between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. while the officer was on duty.
The officer stopped the victim's vehicle due to an alleged noise complaint, Montgomery police say.
Hamner's arrest warrant filed on Friday alleges the officer held the man at gunpoint and forced him to perform oral sex on him.
Montgomery police declined to release where the alleged incident occurred, or if a noise complaint was reported.
Hamner, who graduated from the police academy in 2014, has been placed on administrative leave.
Hamner's attorney, Virgil Ford, has requested a preliminary hearing in the case.
