A squad singing more/less in unison during a tense moment would be pretty sweet. What's going on in that video is too precise though. One of the main reasons drones are used in the US, Russian and Chinese military is that they can be launched by a platoon or smaller, are organic and have loiter times of 12-24 hours. That platoon will carry multiple drone spares.
Helicopters require FARPs with lots of fuel and a much larger support structure. In addition they're extremely vulnerable to actual air threats.
The Russians use drones extensively for artillery spotting.
Helicopters have very real limitations that you can't just handwave away by saying you have a FARP and countermeasures. Airmobile infantry often use ATVs instead of a Humvee/Jeep equivalent. There is a specialization of equipment and vehicles to trade off one limitation for another.

Powered/unpowered exoskeletons actually have genuine utility in base operations though moving and maintaining equipment. There are unpowered harnasses that use counterweights and such for the purposes of construction.
I don't get why dragon scale armour was such a big deal. It basically offers the same multi-hit capability of ballistic steel inserts.
