Serbia/Bulgaria/Greece have the most at stake in the Balkans, they hate the Turks and Albanians the most, and Greece/Bulgaria have a combined economy worth like 4 times that of Romania.
I include Romania because I don't think Poland and Hungary deserve access to the Black Sea and I think Romanians have more in common with Bulgarians/Greeks than Poles and Magyars.

Balkans are neighbors so no shit some of them are friendly, they've lived together for thousands of years, but people really, really hate other people unlike anything else I've seen, both Africa and the Asian squabbles are nothing compared to Balkan hatred. I remember back in highschool when i turned 18 and got a drivers license, and almost every weekend we got wasted and then drove either to serbia or bosnia at like 3 am (had to leave the car at the border), and had beer with random people we met at the bars in nearby towns. If they ever escape from Germany they will overtake Romania for growth almost certainly (6 years of contraction and still a bigger economy and higher GDP per capita than Roros)
