It is a 20 something page essay by Sir John Glubb wherein he argues that empires or "great nations" go through the same basic steps in their supposed lifetime from their "birth" to their "death".
I enjoyed it very much and found it extremely interesting when put into context with the west today.

Also out of all irony, my mother regrets marrying him and is looking to divorce him because he's a neurotic asshole with no balls (both in behavior and almost literally because he's sterile). When you read it you'll quickly see that Hitler was a quite narcisstic person. He doesn't differentiate and his views on the jews are - to put it mildly - riddled with conspiracy and half-baked theories.
Just now I'm reading the scientific edition which was published this year in Germany. It adds about 3000 footnotes to the text. They give a lot of background information about the political climate in Austro-Hungary and the ideological background of Hitler and his ideological forerunners.
To be honest, without the footnotes, the book is quite hard to read because Hitler might have been an exceptional speaker, but a writer he was not. His style is painful and he really likes to hammer a point home with crude metaphors and arguments.
