I have got to get my family that is still here together for a big Holiday. Been slowly but subtly pushing my friends towards Jesus. Life is crazy so I hope they find him before it is too late. At the very least, I do believe they are good people at heart. One is misguided now though, he has fallen into drugs and alcohol. Why are casual Christians so accepting of Israel and the Jews? With the forgiveness aspect aside, why would they show any compassion to a people who executed God's son?

I have absolutely no idea. But I grew up in a highly Jewish area so I never really questioned it until I left home and started rethinking everything I'd been told. My guess is that when you have priests that say "The Jewish People" instead of "The Jews" even though it clearly says in the text he's reading "The Jews" and other such things then you just don't even really think about it and go along with what the church tells you.

Religion is the same. Few saints - Christ, Buddha, etc. - experience God, their Soul, the Truth, and preach it based upon their direct experiences.

Went to church today at a Missouri-Synod Lutheran church, and I feel I found my home since my move to St. Louis.
The congregation was warm, the pastor was great and I definitely plan on making an official break from the Episcopal church to confirm myself as a Lutheran.

I turned up to a small local church, and the people there were just smiling and looked at me and didn't know what to say. I introduced myself, and they just treated me like I was a regular, and I had no idea what was going to happen, it was really awkward.

Yeah I've considered Traditional Catholic (Catholics who reject Modernism and Vatican II), but there aren't really any churches like that in North Carolina. I've looked up the churches and all the few, nearby ones I've seen seemed pro-Vatican II.
Also found a study showing Traditional Catholics were more likely to admit they believed in divorce as an option compared to evangelicals even though Traditional Catholics are more anti-divorce on paper. But maybe they were just counting Catholics who went to mass and weren't SSPX or something.
