There's already very simple economic proof that communism can only be a downgrade to capitalism.
Capitalism simply adds a colossal amount of information to prices, since everyone is doing profit/loss calculations.
Assuming that in both systems all citizens comply to the common good at the same amount, capitalism will always be better. There's no advantage in economically blinding society.
