So if this is to be believed, these shills have been infiltrating 4chan for months now, and that they may very well have shills in the janitor and mod positions. Of course this is all theory, but these shills are organized and well planned. The brave do it for free showed us that these raiders do not normally post here, rather they lurked and posted in /r9k/ so they looked like legitimate users. Its a fair bet they are using /r9k/ as a front.
It is also to be believed that the shill sliders are from Reddit, and are believed to belong to either Shit Reddit Says or a Pro-Communist subreddit of sorts
Hiro also floated around the idea of expanded the pages to around 15-20 on the /qa/ thread to deal with this situation. Most people seemed to agree with this, although he has not gotten back yet. Fair to say the mods are trying to advise him not to do it/

With all the shill threads here, the more provocative ones I always think are jokes, and it's funny because for example, the race-mixing and women ones always end up anti-whatever the shill tried to post about. It doesn't matter, if they post provocations they just give regular posters a target to hone their arguments on.
But the dumber and more boring ones are the most damaging, as they cause fatigue even though few people reply to them. If they stop trying to be provocative, that'd be the most damaging thing I think, although it would also be the most obvious and easy for mods to remove.
