Russia keeps it's political and very, very limited economic influence through it's energy sector and robust nuclear arsenal. Most of the world is on to Russia though. By 2050 Russia is expected to be 2% of the world's population and 2% of the world's GDP. The world knows what they're dealing with regarding Russia.

Pick any advanced country like Germany or Korea and divide it in half or just take a small part of it and make that part capitalist and the rest communist.
